Good morning to you too. If I thought anything of you, I'd actually check back to see if I've written anything in this section to offend anyone, but frankly, I don't, so I won't. I just know I haven't though. Unless rob recently made you a super mod or similar, please don't get ideas above your station and try to prevent people posting in the public forums, it's really not very friendly. If you don't like my posts, put me on ignore, all the best people do. Here, I come to visit with aircon, morretti and a few other great guys, and Id like to think my posts are always jovial, humourous (in my tiny mind at least) and friendly, although I do admit massive spiders and sharks get a rough ride from me and seeing as you have a massive population of both in Australia, I may well mention them quite often Anyhow, have a bonzer day, sport!
TR to get Honda engiens next season and McLaren to be powered by renault. Who said Mclaren wasn't going to divorce Honda?
I wonder if TR got the 100m pounds that Honda was paying McLaren? That apparently was the sticking point, the price for TR giving up the better engine.
I think it is pretty poor that Macclarin have dumped Honda. I really hope Honda come up with a world beater next year.
I agree that the lack of loyalty doesn't feel good, especially given McLaren's past history with Honda, which included what is IMO the best looking F1 car of all time. However, despite getting help from Mercedes and Ferrari, Honda haven't been able to solve the reliability problems and I could easily understand their other sponsors being at the end of their patience.
When you look at how well red bull do with the underpowered Renault, and with all and sundry telling us the MacLaren is the best handling car on the grid, is anyone else just a little worried that Mclaren will be sniffing around our gearbox again next year , especially at the slower more complex circuits when the horse power is not so key. Red bull will need to watch out, and we better hope snifffing around behind us is as far as they get
VERY smart move by parent RedBull, if honda gets it act together, which is possible, RB they will immediate dump Renault [TAG, w/t/f?] and slot the honda engine into the RB , Toro does all the heavy lifting now, RedBull gets the reward if and when it happens, hedged its bet nicely. In 2021/22 the mail is a more simple engine formula [such a thing?] will open the door to lots of new engine-only players, ie Porker, BMW, Toyota, Hyundai, Ford, GM etc etc, the rumor is that RedBull will be powered with Aston-Martin brand, co designed by both, and McLaren will also make its own complete engine lets wait and see! I said it before and say it again, Ferrari need a feeder team in F1, like Toro is to Bull, bite the bullet Sergio and lets get AlfaRomeo on the F1 grind [with a Italian driver], who cares if it is a clone [RB/TORO] lets them get between Ferrari and the following teams, because team-orders-work!!
Musical chairs starting... https://www.jamesallenonf1.com/2017/09/man-in-the-news-how-will-carlos-sainz-find-the-step-up-to-renault-f1-team/
tif12 trolling in the f1 section again. Why hasn't he been banned? Krafty starting to get more edgy. Won't be long before he takes his bat and ball and goes home again.....or is sent home. Funny how he didn't post when Lewis was being beaten by Bottas and Vettel
First time Hamilton loses krafty'll be gone, t12 is a sly dog with his posts, just enough to piss you off but not enough to get him banned
