Nose was changed before The nose was changed very early in 3445GT either before or after the Charade race in July 1962. By the Peco Trophy at Brands Hatch, it already had the new nose which stayed on I believe until the Drogo rebody in 1965. IMO if the owner should have restored it to the distinctive nose after Le Mans 62... The Norinder colours are not period correct with this current body. Guys: This is supposed to be the 250 GTO 55th Anniversary Tour 2017 thread and NOT the 250 GTO "bashing or correction or whatever" thread. May I suggest to start your own 250 GTO thread for that? There you will have plenty of room to discuss all the variations. Thank you very much. Marcel Massini
Ok, no more "bashing". Not that I was really bashing. The owners can do whatever they want with their cars, but on the other hand it puzzles me that when they get them restored they don't get it right in the 1st place with all the photographic evidence & knowledge out there... Looking forward to seeing more beautiful pics Marcel.
So here is our contribution on a "certain website"...I hope you like it nevertheless, more than 300 pictures of the 4 days in Italy https://barchetta.stage.mediacenter.pro/-/Events-by-Year-Auction-Concours-News-Race-Rally-etc/00-2017/Rallye/GTO-Rally/Ferrari-250-GTO-55th-Anniversary-Tour-PWS/?vi=3428186&v=a&dir=2257516&rd=1964532
Peter Nice pix, thanks. Great seeing you in Florence. You may want to correct some captions. 5571 GT belongs to John McCaw, not Bruce. And it is Lord Anthony P. Bamford, not Sir. It also is Turning Wheels Collection, not Turning Wheel. And Anthony Wang, not Antony. Keep up the good work. Marcel Massini
Hi Peter. I suggest you advise the admins at barchetta to make the site google chrome friendly as when trying to open your link with that browser it just shows a blank page. Chrome is the most used browser in the world...
Thank you very much Marcel....forwarded it to Barchetta I will send you some pictures later this evening....
Thanks to both, Marcel and Peter, for sharing this event - fantastic photos. Was the Davies car involved in an accident? I noticed some body damage and red tape in the photos.
Yes it was. Tuesday morning 26th September 2017. Fortunately nobody was seriously hurt. Marcel Massini

I think every five years one of them has to sacrifice himself for the group...Keeps away the bad spirits for the rest of the tour.
Please try again and hit refresh if needed...It should generally work, unfortunately sometimes not and nobody knows why at the moment.... The webmaster tested it on chrome several times and it did work...
You are not alone. I too cannot edit. Just look at my post #88 where half of the pix didn't go thru properly and could not be corrected. Today this "new system" is not working properly...........(maybe I will now be banned because of my critics.......). Oh well. Marcel Massini
Actually there is a way to solve that problem I believe. You just click a single time "make all pictures large" where there is an icon for a trio of pictures once you have selected all the pictures to upload. I agree thought that 10 minutes is not enough time to edit. It should be more +++
+1. It was 2 hours before and that wasn't enough. When the new site was first running there was no time limit. You could edit your posts from last year and further back which I thought was the one great thing about the new site. They can obviously adjust the site for a more reasonable time limit than the extremely inadequate 10 minutes, if they want to.
