ALL afternoon....;>) The picture does not capture how hard it was raining. Image Unavailable, Please Login
I was raining so hard, I thought my cats were going to float away! And earlier last week it looked like this (this is an old pic I have, but it looked just like this). Image Unavailable, Please Login
Hi Did you move away permanently? This morning's sky was cloudless and the day was sunny and warm. It might be safe to return....;>)
Its been 30 years since I last lived in Honolulu (miss it) but I recall one February when it rained hard for 26 out of 28 days and the golf course I lived on basically was a swamp.
About 8 years ago we had 40 straight days of rain. Homes, roads from Makiki to Kane'ohe inundated | The Honolulu Advertiser | Hawaii's Newspaper
Hey stop griping, it's warm rain! We used to go outside in it to romp around and come in liked drowned rats. Then go back outside after some lunch and a nap. Ah, those childhood days... We lived by MidPac CC in Kailua. One storm it took a week for the course to dry out. We we hunting toads all over the fairways and using the deeper sandtraps as swimming holes. I do miss the rain storms in Hawaii. Especially how the rainforest smells. And then all the waterfalls that suddenly appear.
Got laid off in Feb, still looking for a decent job. I wouldnt say permanently, but until returning makes financial sense, I have returned to the mainland where things are cheaper, and my savings takes me farther.
Hi I am very sorry to hear that you got caught up in the economic turmoil. I hope something new and better turns up for you. Aloha Larry
