Anyone else addicted to Crossfit here? We did one of my favorite benchmarks today called the Filthy Fifty: 50 Box jump, 24 inch box 50 Jumping pull-ups 50 Kettlebell swings 55 pounds 50 Walking Lunge 50 Knees to elbows 50 Push press 45 pounds 50 Back Extensions / Superman 50 Wall ball shots 20 pounds 50 Burpees 50 Double unders You do everything as fast as you can for time and I finally got my time down to 28:55. The good guys can do it around 25:00.
I'm with you. 100% addicted! My recent time was around 35:00. Slow compared to yours, but almost a 2 minute improvement over my last time. I got through the back extensions in 21 mins, so 14 mins to do the wall balls and stupid burpees. I'm tall and suck at burpees! I really need to work on my wind. By the time I was half way through the burpees I wanted to die!
That's a great improvement! Burpees suck. I'm 5'11" so I feel your pain. I've found that if I do them at a slow consistent pace I can actually do them unbroken and faster. About one every four seconds does it. If I go any faster I have to stop here and there and it ends up being slower.
When I first saw this thread, i was looking forward to a picture or a good story of you turning 50 with some hot whores. Boy was I wrong!
Another addict here ...my bench mark 100 Burpees best time 10:15 @age46 ...been a while since doing filthy fifty ...I will may it my weekend challenge
