I ride vintage racing bikes - don't have aluminum, titanium, carbon - just all Columbus and Reynolds steel. My daily rider is a 1985 Zullo which is actually my newest bike. How many other people here ride vintage steel?

I rode a Penny-farthing for the first time this weekend & I kind if liked it. Does that count?

Ha Ha yes I suppose it counts. Too high for me - I think I might get vertigo. I enjoy riding my older bikes and try to put in about 70 miles a week. Could not imagine that on a Penny Farthing!

I own a 1972 Schwinn beach cruiser, it's more of my beater run a-round track & bar bike. I got the frame from an artist friend of mine 15 years ago & got around to building it up out of various spare parts back in 2006. (I worked at a cycling shop for five years) At one point the Brooks saddle was the most expensive part. It was a single speed until I wanted to add a 7 speed Nexus internal hub to it a few years back, I never should have done that.

Anyway, here's a photo of the "Brewcruiser."

    Hi, Thanks, that's cool. Yes, I ride 56cm c to c.
I have carbon bikes as well but this rides beautifully.
I am currently building an Ephgrave for the L'Eroica in October

I still have my original 1949 Schwinn panther. It hangs on a wall in the garage but is ready to go.

Love the Colnago and thanks for posting the picture of your wall mount. Don't want anything cheap and nasty looking or hardware store variety as it will be used indoors and that looks just the ticket. Found it at Amazon.

As for vintage bikes - I was convinced that I would stay with my 1973 Raleigh Super Course but no amount of modification was making it comfortable for my much older back so I sold it on Ebay and did okay. Also sold an 80's vintage Trek and still have an 80's Suteki to move. Bought a modern Felt a year or so ago and love it.

One of the things I want to do - enter the L'Eroica! I have a few bike that would be suitable but one still needs paint (bought frame without paint, Gloria with Cambio Corsa). For the moment I think I would ride my 1937 Baines which has mostly none period correct parts, some 30s some 40s, 50s, 60s and maybe a 70s part here and there. My 1939 Torpado would be better but I still need to finish that bike. It is all period correct.

It took me ages to find the wall rack, I thought I was going to have to make one. It's from a US manufacturer, Feedback Sports. I really like it.

That's nice and unusual, similar to the Paris Galiber.
Can you change gear with the cambio corsa system?
I am looking forward to the L'Eroica, I have entered the 125 Km route (84 miles).

L'eroica is fantastic. I did it last year and would like to find the time and money to do it this year.

I am hiding in plain sight in this gallery.
