Canadian buying Belgium Car, Help needed Please

    Good Morning Guys

    I needed some info as I am thinking of buying a car that was imported to Canada from Belgium in 2008.

    Where and How can i find with the VIN number if the car was accidented or anything.

    Car was also serviced at a local Ferrari shop in Belgium but I do not have that information yet.

    Any help would be appreciated. Where do i start ?

    I speak French as well.

    There was only Francorchamps but no longer - don't know if the owner's foundation kept the records

    How about a Govt body that keeps track of registration and ownership, accidents etc ?

    This specific car was delivered new to Switzerland (because of the "S" in the VIN). It was seen in 2004 and 2007 at Garage Foitek, Zurich/Urdorf, Switzerland. Maybe they can tell you a bit more about the car (check www.foitek.ch). If I find more, I will let you know ...

    There is no database in Belgium for accidents. Just a couple of years ago they started with 'car passports'. It give a detailed state of the vehicle when sold. But for older cars I doesn't exist. I think the best thing you can do is to go and check the car out.

    Car is in Canada and with your help it had serious work on it! I thank you all for your help.

    The dealership in Swit was incredible to deal with, top class. 1 HOUR conversation about a car they last saw 4 years ago.
