Hi Does anyone know this car (or dealer)? Chassis number 160285. A 2008 Scuderia with gold wheels. Apparently bought by one of two brothers, they both bought same car. Any knowledge would be appreciated. Ferrari Scuderia LED-lenkrad-Carbonpakket-Magnesium as Sports Car/Coupe in Achterveld (In der Nähe von Utrecht)
It's not a dealer, more or less a trader/garage ... I have not seen the car ... http://www.wolbert.nl/
Thank you Mel. Price seems a little too good which is ringing a small alarm bell. I've had a full spec given to me by Ferrari but now trying to decide if it's worth doing a pre purchase inspection. Do you know anyone that could do one who is good? I am in the South of Europe so too far initially to go and look (and I'm too busy)
Too good to be true ... there are more Scuderias for that price but with remarkable more kms ... so why indeed ? Maybe it's in the taxes that have to be payed (in NL) still ... In NL, if I would buy it or any other F car in other countries, I have to pay 25% over the price as a luxury taks ... so this car would cost me K€150 ... How is that with you ? It's not an F dealer ... if I don't follow your link ... cannot find it anymore .... or am I wrong ?
Correct, it seems it has been taken off in the last hour. The second time in the past few days it has been taken off.
No, that's why I'm asking you dutch boys what the story is. I don't even want to waste 200 euros on a flight if it's bulls**t. I thought something didn't feel right, you are helping me to confirm this. Thank you.
Mel, Isn't this the one I had a peak at this winter? Looks to me the same one (km's, age color ect) I deleted my pics, do you still have some? I remember taking a pic of the sn# but cannot find it anymore Image Unavailable, Please Login
Fred, did it have gold wheels? If so maybe it's the same one. If anyone does get a chance to see it please let me know your thoughts. Thanks
Yup, the very same (golden wheels)... If it is the same one there is nothing wrong with it. The "collector" had many different types of cars (maybach ect) but had enough of all the cars (and costs?). I never saw him drive myself in any car but he lived 10km from here in the same town as my parents who heard some noise time to time. Always with the question: You were here but didn't drop by? Hard to explain a noisy red car can have different types to my folks Also a F-chatter called Christiaan lives there around the corner of my parents. Maybe he can tell if it is the same one and who this collector is. I will give him a shout. Only thing a cannot get a grip of; the price at that time was € +25k Some more pictures I found in the trash bin... Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Thanks Fred, let me know what your friend says. I see it has black calipers too, very likely to be the same car.
Thought the link was going to be a video of it being crashed. What's the relevance of that Video Mel out of interest?
Thanks Mel, that would be great if you could visit. I'm interested to know if there is any evidence of a crash.
Been there, story looks O.K. ... mail me 4 details: [email protected] Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Save this car from that hazardous environment, pleaaaasssseeeee. I think this scud does not sleep for a moment in that place surrounded by a group like that
Guys - thank you all for your help with this. Especially to Mel for taking the time to go and see it, it's a great community we have here. I still didn't decide whether to go ahead with it, it's never been serviced which has put me off quite a bit.
On the other side of the street is a Ferrari specialist located, so a extra inspection at Italauto can easily been done, and if needed service can be done there too I presume. And with only 5800, what could have gone wrong?
Agreed, also if you go for a PPI at an official dealer they can also check is to go into the "New Power" warranty program (google) for 266,- If allowed (reed: the car is fine) at an additional 3k (only first year) you are out of the woods. After that every year 2.200,- until is is 12 years old. If you then do not know what car you buy it is better to buy a bicycle
Accident(s) ... ? Not likely ... but .... you never know ... All in all a nice Scuderia for sure, very low kms (too low 4 me) .... but to get it on the road in NL you still pay between K€ 1550-160 and THT is not a bargain. We can get a Scud for under K€ 100 easy + K€ 125 BPM tax all in ... more kms, but mainained, all updates ready (SW updated) ... so ... not a difficult choice imo ...
Mel I'm not going ahead with it. It's very hard to confirm the KM because it's never been serviced. For all we know maybe it's done 25,000km, it's not exactly hard to change it using software available easily. I'm not saying this has happened to this car BUT at least a yearly service can help you confirm (and as much as is possible believe) KM. I find it strange someone would spend 200,000 Euros on this car new, and never once have it serviced. Anyway, thanks again for your help, hang onto your 512!
Sorry Mark, but I bought a F430 spider with the same km's (5465) of a 2008 in 2012.... Explanation? The first owner has 7 ferrari's and had to those every time he went for a drive in one of them.... Also he has written of loads of money but accepts this when he bought the 458 and needed the space in the garage. This is why it was for sale at the dealer (as new!) who sold him the 458. I can understand he didn't want (potential) buyers at his doorstep... If this is the "collector" I think it is from the town of my parents. It explains why he drove so little. To much cars, no time to enjoy all of them . At AutoGespot.com my spider was spotted only twice in 4 years so it confirmed the low km's. A phone call by a friend of mine (knowing the first owner) made my day and convinced me to buy the car the next day. Warrenty was given to me at the sale (2 years Power Normal) by the dealer to sweeten the deal. A thing I didn't regret as the exhaust manifolds has been replaced last year. My suggestion: investigate, call the first owner (Mel has his name and residence), ask Autogespot or any spotters site if they know this car, get the info. Do a PPI and get the New Power warranty, can't lose. Jm2c.
Hi Fred Yes I understand some people don't use their cars, they have lots of cars and not enough time etc etc. But, the car has NEVER been serviced I am told! The Power warranty I will look at BUT firstly I think if the car was not serviced in line with the Ferrari Service Plan it may not be possible to get it, and secondly, where I live there is no Ferrari dealer so it may not be that easy. If I lived near to the place that sold me the Power Warranty it would be easier, but maybe I can buy the warranty and then when I take the car to be fixed at Ferrari Marbella (my closest dealer) they tell me sorry, but it's only for Holland. The car looks nice I agree, but I still think it's strange that someone with so many cars would never bother to service it. To not drive much I understand, to not service I don't. PPI is important in this situation as you say, Mel is asking about this at the moment so we will see. Thanks for your advice though, I will look at this autogespot.
