I will post some pics about the restoration of HLA12144 in the coming months. I have purchased the car 2011 in San Francisco with the intention to restore it to top level condition. As I enjoy driving my cars often and fast my focus is not limited to cosmetics but also to power, reliability and safety. Here are some pics of the car prior to restoration Image Unavailable, Please Login
The car was in very original condition and has been stored for a long period. Image Unavailable, Please Login
If somebody knows some details about the history of HLA12144 I would appreciate very much. Image Unavailable, Please Login
The frame of the car is perfectly straight and free from any sign of an accident. Image Unavailable, Please Login
The frame is absoultely straight. Now the corroded tubes were exchanged while the messurement equipment is assuring that we do not experience deformation caused by welding. Image Unavailable, Please Login

Frame after dustless blasting of the fenders and base coat of the frame. Any opinions about the use of dustless blasting on the aluminium skin of classic cars? Image Unavailable, Please Login
Daniel - great to see another restoration thread. More opportunities to learn from one another. Good luck with the project! I will follow it closely as well.
