I decided to remove the entire interior of my Diablo, all leather and carpet pieces.

I packed up all 70 pieces and drove them down to Steve at Driven Exotics in Gilroy, CA.

I met Steve at Concorso last year, he seemed like a helpful guy and there were plenty of people around saying positive things about him.

I can't say enough great things about Steve. First, the interior leather and carpet work is simply amazing, bordering on obsessive, and there are some complicated pieces in the Diablo. Second, Steve is just a great guy. I am a DIY'er and Steve's given me more helpful tips and guidance in my 4 trips to his shop than I could have learned on my own in a lifetime.

His shop is amazing. He had at least (at least) 15 Diablos, 4 Countachs, 2 LM002's, a 350 - all in various states of repair, from all over the US. His shop is like a candy/porno shop for Lamborghini enthusiasts.

I endorse Steve at Driven Exotics, you won't regret shipping your bull to him.

I just hope I can get everything back in.....

    This is a real thing.

I have not "done business" with Steve as of just yet, but I have had quite a few emails and I can absolutely agree that there has been no one who has been more approachable regarding Lamborghini Tech.

The world needs more people like Steve@Driven

I'll weigh in (again) about Steve and his operation - as some of you may know, he was solely responsible for the two year, no budget (literally) restoration of my black/black LM002 (which is or was in Mr. Cats' personal collection after he bought it from me). For anyone that has seen the truck, Steve's work speaks for itself as being the absolute best LM in existence, bar none.

For those that haven't, I can say that in 28 years of serious automobile collecting, Steve's work and approach ranks him at the very top of the industry. I endorse him without hesitation for any project imaginable and would be happy to speak to a potential client personally to explain further.

Secretcollector, I saw your LM002 when I was at Steve's shop and it looked absolutely amazing!!! I ended up sending my Verde LM002 to Steve and he has been performing his magic on it. The updates that he sends me and quality of his work speak for themselves. He truly is a class act! I'm so happy I sent my LM to him :)

Been lucky enough to have Steve work on my cars for nearly 20 years. Got a quality team working for him. Can only agree 100% with what's been posted.

Your black/black LM002 was the reason I decided to have Steve do my interior. It was there when I was touring his shop, and was..well..perfectly done.

I have to recognize Steve @ Driven Exotics again.

He recently finished the interior of my Diablo, and I got it all installed. The craftsmanship and attention to detail is just perfect. From the little details like the exterior stitching of the oh-sh&t grab bar, to the weave on the backing on the Daytona perforations, to the door surround welting to the tiny little rubber plugs the separate the defrost vent slats to the perfectly matched foot guard material...and the list goes on.

Further, since I was doing the install myself, I literally must have sent Steve hundreds of emails, and he answered each one with patience, usually within 30 minutes regardless of the day of the week or time of day. During the course of the install, I would frequently get "hey, how is that piece going in" emails.

There is a full write up on the install over on the other Lamborghini board, attached are a few pictures of the final product.

199 days later, my Diablo is back on the road in time for Monterey. I take her down to pass smog, and while on the dyno, I lose the 1-6 bank. Tow her home, do some trouble shooting and the 1-6 coil pack is emitting weak spark. Earlier in the month, Steve had told me to upgrade them, as they are a common weak point. Needless to say I am a bit frustrated. At 9pm I send Steve an email, and he's back to me within 30 minutes telling me to swap coils, and report back. Sure enough, bad coil/power unit.

Steve checks in on my Saturday morning and I report the results. He tells me to meet him at his shop and he'll fix me up (knowing I am frustrated). He came in on a Saturday, packaged up not one, but two sets (very neatly, including heat sink goo), and waits for me while I drive 2 hours to Gilroy.

Steve not only runs an awesome shop, but he is a damn good guy too.

Thanks to Steve, I definitely would have been stitched without you.

I would bring the air intake back to original spec, silver with red letters!

You gave this car that love which it´s deserve! Stunning, also the interior work!

  14. Geno every time I see your car, my mind goes back to when I got to drive it out in the countryside of Ky. Oddly it was at a house of a friend that has another Diablo. On that Diablo, the internal driveshaft broke (!!!!) & we pulled the engine. Did a few other things while the engine was out & then he lost interest. The car is still apart to this day. Maybe one day I'll end up with it, who knows...

If it still needs a drive shaft, I believe I have one, that I will never use.

  16. Pretty sure he had one, but I'll check just in case. Thank you
