A swedish Lambo collector is building a replica of Bob Wallace's rally Jarama. Could be a cool car I think.

English translation in the end after all the pictures.

He also owns a Miura, Diablo SV, Countach, LM002, LP670 SV and a few other nice cars.

Those seats do not appear period correct.

Just joking around, I am interested to see how this turns out!

Wasn't it Urraco Bob? A friend of mine owns it now.

Why do it? Presently it devalues the car.

The car in museum is not the Jarama Bob, the Jarama Bob is orange and in Germany.

That yellow & alu GTS is not the correct car, it is VIN 10.364, it was a project made by a French guy who wondered to do hill climb race, but he never did and sold his car to Tonino...

The one in Sweden is built on VIN #10.020

Original Jarama Bob was built on the last GT, VIN is #10.350

The yellow car was sold by a german dealer Riester to Tonino.

The orange car is still with the same owner in Germany.

there was a period when jarama bob went to the middle east before the current restoration roughly 25 years ago. It was more reddish much like the original miura jota rather than its current orange .

can anyone one confirm the original color?

    regards

Rebuild was documented in Supercar Classics and overseen by Del Hopkins I believe.

yes i remember that issue. i think i have it laying around in the attic at my folks place.

speaking of Supercar Classics, in another issue it featured the factory junkyard cars in which "urraco bob" also appears much redder in hue than its current state in japan.

I think Urraco Bob was probably rosso miura/corsa whatever the correct name is - but the same colour as Miura Jota, essentially an early alfa romeo red - that looks red in some lights and orange in others but not as orange as arancio in the same light.

It seems that nobody else has any interest in this subject apart from me! Refer to the single post thread I started! http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/144316506-post1.html

While dining with Tonino he mentionned me he bought it from the French guy, not from a dealer, but who knows then ?

Correct, the original Bob Wallace is in the hands the same German for last 25 years, since he bought it from Portman-UK which restored it with Derek del Hopkins.

yes... i think i would agree with you. I saw a pretty high quality night photos taken with a flash of the original jota's crash scene. its truly red.

bumping an old thread but what i find funny about the bob wallace lambo is that they are all pretty cool. this is a definite improvement over the stock jarama and while i love the stock miura the jota is pretty awesome as well
