TOWBIN HAS PURCHASED PENSKE WYNN FERRARI. UNBELIEVABLE
The Towbin Rolls Royce dealership on Sahara near rainbow. My understanding is the service guys are going with the move, which would be a wise decision. It's coming up really quick too.
This is a shame, I alway thought Penske/Wynn was an awesomely unique dealer. Are we going to see Ferrari's on the Chopper's TV show??? Where's the Genie? He was always my favorite. Mark
My gut tells me Steve has long term ideas for the void left from the removal of the dealership with it's target directly at the new Alon hotel. As we know, the new Alon resort will be across the street in the coming years with Andrew Pascal and Elaine Wynn having large roles there. With the divorce to Elaine, her being ousted from the Wynn board of directors plus Andrew leaving the Wynn Hotel to join Alon, there is no love lost there. I think Steve will use that space not for another restaurant or shops, but an attraction to draw attention and crowds away from Alon. I think it will be iconic, maybe not at the level of the volcano or Bellagio fountains, but maybe in line what he has in his Macau resorts.
My understanding is that nothing is going to change except the building ! The whole team will be moving... of course along with Rich. So new building same great service Cheers, Bill
So, does anyone know if the Ferrari store right outside the dealership is also closing? Moving? That's one of my favorite places to visit in Vegas…T
I hope all the great service guys move to Towbin, on the other hand I really hope they FIRE the terrible GM JERRY BYRD who has destroyed that dealership. HE IS A TOTAL PIECE OF ****. GOOD RIDDANCE
I'll miss it too... It was a great place to go dream after an early dinner and wine... I even remember to bring my Ferrari key to get in free/save $10 when I stay at the Wynn about 4x a year....
Nooooooooooooooooooooo!!! Since I don't gamble, it's now down to only two reasons to go to Vegas - Pinball HofF and great restaurants. T p.s. What is this bat cave? Some secret location known only to Ferrari owners? Or, the place downstairs with the cars for sale, and the service center?
I purchased my 458 from the "Vegas Dealership" and I have a annual service appointment scheduled for mid October. So I might be our guinea pig to see how things go under new ownership! Sounds like the location will not be at the Wynn.
I talked to Rich yesterday and he said he's still taking appointments as usual. The move is Oct 5. But, you might want to call just in case. I'm not sure how quickly they are planning to be open after. Maybe nobody knows how long it will take.
Thanks to Bob for the most amazing F-Chat Does Vegas even "the first" - 2010... Still wear the hat Sophia sold tonight Happy / Sad - not to hijack. Just "one of those days" Jedi
Talking cars in the batcave with the crew was one of the great pleasures of stopping by this dealership. A friendlier group of service personnel you won't find anywhere. I'll miss driving up at the Wynn and parking at the drop off zone out front. My cars were probably on a thousand Facebook posts from people snapping pictures. It was always a good excuse to look decadent. To my friend Jedi: things change but people don't. Sophia may have a new home but we still have Jedi-- and Fchat is a better place for it. We need to do another "Fchat in Vegas event" if I ever stop traveling! With so many new F car local owners we can have twice as much fun. Maybe we can convince William H to bring his Hubbel Bubbles on a PR tour.
I got to do one of the "F-Chat does Vegas" events, and thanks so much Bob (and Stephanie, too, as I know she was involved in that one), for setting everything up. At least I got to tour "the Batcave" once.
