Slow go on Towbin Ferrari construction

Earlier in the year, during my last visit to LV, I chatted with Jeff Adelman about the construction of their new showroom for Ferrari. He said the goal was late May (I assume this year), so I stopped by this past weekend to see how close they are. Not.

Also, seems like a very limited space if it is to house both Ferrari and Maserati - guess they will continue to occupy space in the current buildings.

Probably mid summer at this point. I'm looking forward to it.

Much closer than the last time I stopped by. Guess I should make the trek across town and see it. Can't wait for it to be finished. I sure did like Penske though. I loved going to see them at the Wynn.

Nothing could beat that and hanging out in "the batcave".

I drove by the Wynn 2 weeks ago and it looks like they are pretty close to opening the shopping mall they created in the old Ferrari space moving out to right against the strip.

It was great while it lasted!

I went to the Ferrari dealership Saturday and actually had someone come talk to me and walk me through their inventory! I was cracking up as he is a new guy so I attribute it to that. It looks like it will be a nice show room although on the small side. Didn't see any indication of McLaren across the street yet.

You may already know this.....Just wanted to post an update. I called Park Place Infinity and they have been sold to another dealer so the Mclaren expansion to this dealership is on hold. They said it's going to be up to the new owners if they pick up Mclaren. So, guess it won't be happening for awhile if it happens.

Ferrari showroom should be a couple weeks they told me today.

Cars:

2013 Ferrari 458 Spider
2014 Porsche 911 Turbo S Cab

Only 2 that I drive.

I'm assuming they will throw a party for locals. I've heard nothing so far.

So, still no McLaren in LV? Wow that's strange as they sent me an email about acquiring Mac just about 2 months ago.

I don't see it happening with this latest group we have been talking about, unless someone new enters the picture.

.
Few people are going to buy a $300K sports car if it has to be shipped all the way to Newport Beach to fix a check engine light.

Yep.....no one here has diagnostic equipment for McLaren either even if the car was out of warranty and you wanted to take it somewhere else.

I know some people that send there or to Scottsdale but total deal killer in my book for any year/make/model Mclaren in my book.

It's a shame.

I stopped by today too. The design/order suite and the delivery room are neat ideas.

When I bought my Fiat Abarth, the dealer also had a nice delivery room. It had big glass sliding doors so you could drive straight out when you picked it up, and wall to sign/scribble out a short message. I have pics somewhere. I always thought it was a neat idea.
