Hi - I am trying to locate information regarding Rodrigo Borges Zingg, Felix Varona and Aldo Palenzona - all of Caracas Venezuela. Zingg owned a Mercedes dealership. He and Varona raced Ferraris in the 50s and 60s. Palernzona owned exotic cars. I understand that Felix Varona still follows racing. Any background of contact information would be most appreciated!

As told earlier already Zingg owned 0832, a car in which he also died. See attached photo.

Looks like I got a former mercedes from him. Like to find out more about him and maybe some more history about his mercedes dealership in caracas venezuela.
So if someone has any further information about this, it would be great, or maybe a hint where I could find out more?
    Thanks in advance
    Jay

My uncle and my father were friendly w/ borges and varona. They owned some very interesting cars in vz: ferraris, Mercedes, an Aston and even a Cobra.

Sadly Branko is no longer with us. I am sure he could help identify your benz.

My dad owned a few Mercedes during the 60s and he was friends with one of the Zinggs. He commented on how expensive the cars were getting and Mr Zingg told him that he would give him the car for free as long as he paid for all the maintenance in their shop :). He knew Mr Varona as well because one of his best friends had a Ferrari at the time that was serviced at his shop.

Hello I bumped into this site looking for information of an old friend my dad had growing up his name was Rodrigo Borges Zingg. He was a Ferrari owner and driver that sadly was killed in his first pro race in the Bahamas. My father also owned a 1959 Ferrari Super America. He obtained the Super America along with a 1959 Chrysler 300E by trading a 1928 Packard 8 Phaeton. Zingg and my father were in the same elite click of fortunate misfits. Meaning they all had money and were very well off, but would do little crimes for fun. Borges was known to enter the Caracas GP with his road car a Testarossa until the timers would see the extra car and ask for the police to escort him off the track. Also entered the race in Maracay when they held those races in Venezuela.
