Geez, hate to start off negative and I realize this is preseason but that first series for the Saints D was disturbing. Time for Brees and krewe to do their thing. Who Dat!
preseason is meaningless. i wish they would just cancel it and add a couple real games to the season.

Agreed. Instead of 4 preseason games they should have 2 just for the sake of a warmup to full speed football.
That defense stinks on ice! Brees should just fake a season ending injury so they have an excuse for going 0 - 16. Last time I saw a team suck this bad they had a blue star on their helmet.
I was referring to win-loss record... 4 (meaningless) preseason games + 19 meaningful games thru the Super Bowl. I concur.

Do not fret, never was a Will Smith fan, he never did live up to his potential. The Saints have had some pretty good success with pulling in talent and making it work. Look at Thomas, Colston, Ivory, etc.
I was actually pretty pleased with the D, especially the pass rush. I would like to see more O production.
Time for the Saints to beef up the O line, cornerbacks and start seriously looking for a quarterback that will be able to replace Drew Brees in the next year or two when they can shop him and still get something for him.
Better O line, and a fast reciever that can run open will do wonders for getting Brees back on top. We had no deep threats this year and Drew was constantly being pressured in the pocket. Fix these 2 things along with the improved D and we could be in the hunt again next year.
