    I have a friend who received a speeding ticket in Calcasieu Parish (Lake Charles) given to her by the Louisiana State Police. 82 in a 60. She does not live there and has called trying to pay the fine. They keep telling her that she must appear in court. She cannot make it back it go to court. Anyone know a traffic lawyer she can contact to take care of this?

    Any advice welcome.

    did she try calling the DA's office and not the State police....Sometimes the DA can take care of that, once you explain why you can't make it back....at least they have for me....except when it was 104 and I had to go higher up the chain :D:D

    Call the court ask to pay for the fine or extended the trial date and get call the local BAR associate and get a referral.
