Too true, Bob, and it would be quite a time-consuming project too. Think of it though, you already have hydraulic pressure at the pedal box, sooo...

Not advocating the above, just saying it can't be too difficult.

I fully understand that Bora-owners look at this Khamsin-only feature with envy, but it should be discussed in their yard, not ours :-)

Best,
Jack.

Hi, I am new to this forum. I am excited about my Khamsin just being repainted in the original "Oro Keslo"

Hello all,

Hyper busy the last couple of weeks, welcome to the owner of this car, which is 032, none other than the Due mille ruote auction car AM120.032 of late last year which some of you will remember as one of the cars in the infamous seized vehicles auction in Italy late last year -then silver- which had been represented with a false identity (as 096) before we were able, with RM Auctions and Maserati Classiche to ascertain its identity as AM120.032.

It was silver in the auction but oro kelso new and I am very happy its new owner is bringing it back to its original oro kelso color -same color as my ex car a decade ago:-)

By the way the buyers of the cars in that auction, all from a collection seized by the Italian government, are finally getting their documents, such is the sloooow way of Italian bureaucracy.

In other news a one owner Khamsin has just emerged, right hand drive, in Rome, you can't make this up, stranger than fiction, will tell more about it when I have a minute.

This weekend I will be at the Spa Classic in Spa Francorchamps, Belgium from tomorrow afternoon to Sunday for the historic races and auction, let me know, message me, if you will be there as well.

Will catch up for other posts above when I have a minute. Roger, good find, never heard of that other black Khamsin in Lebanon, excellent to see another emerge. The other one you refer to is AM120US1302, one of the very last US cars built, which spent years in the New York area, stored (as its young owner had lost his driver's license and was traveling), then in Lebanon and now Belgium in a private museum (photos).

Best regards,

Marc

Hi Bob,

The first K I drove, 20 years ago this summer, had those same colors and yes it emphasizes the glass openings, the rear end in particular of course. That was AM120US1234 during Maser Miglia in Colorado.

Best regards,

Marc

Hello Marc

I seem to remember you wrote that 1302 had a black interior,
so the interior would have changed to red; looks original to me though, rather than redone?
was it not the black car for sale in Austria by TVK CLASSIC CARS before going to Belgium ?

Best regards,
Roger

Hi from Spa Roger, am in a hotel chock full of Astons! The photos above are 1302. Perhaps it had a color change yes.

No 1302 arrived from the uS with the US bumpers, got Euro bumpers then as sold to Belgium the black car in Austria was 404 a Euro car. There is another black car that came from the US to Austria in recent years which was 1050. Photos attached...

All the best,

Marc

Wish they would have put the hydraulically assisted clutch on the Bora .... that car needs it.

Ivan
Ivan as a suggestion there is a 3 or 4" clutch booster fitted to many 4wd and Trucks.
Also changing the release bearing to a concentric typr is a big plus.If I owned one of the other V8 Maserati I would also fit a booster.
My 456 has a concentric type and its quite light and smooth.
