Today I got this nice period photos of s/n #056 when owned by Tsuguji Urushima from Tokyo who was the 2nd owner of it in Japan. The car was repainted in "Amarantho" color by Urushima-San.

Today owned by a German collector, repainted in black.

I love the worn look the Borrani's have. THAT is how a driven car should look. Gobs of personality! Thanks Walter

That particular Allemano bodied car looks a bit tall and fat, perhaps because it seems to be sitting somewhat high on its wheels.

The 5000GT (also by Allemano) that came to the 2010 Maserati International Rally in Sweden last month looked sleeker and more elegant.

    Cheers,
    Gabriel

Sorry to say - but I had reasons to ask for a research fee for those infos as I have to go much deeper in the history of this car!
Don`t forget - I make my living with this! Also I have to pay money for getting photos and/or infos about -for example!- official registrations of cars.

But I always provide the infos I have about cars and I did this many times on this public forum - without requesting a fee from anybody!

    Ciao!

    You seem not to understand:

"Google me" means public- and "PM me" means private infos.

No,The private school I went would agree with what I had said to me by MM.
I asked him what books he had written.
His rude reply was "Google me"
as if i need to google a broker.

This photo shows how clever Maserati (or someone else?) made 3 luggage cases for #018, the "Flying Dutchman" of all 5000 GT today!

Wonder if this luggage is still with the car - if the car is still existing!

"Arthur", it sounds like you have a personal problem. Pay your rent, and converse with Herr Baumer "off-line".

    Cheers then,

There does not seem to be much info on the net regarding 5000GT's and I am wondering if anyone can help me out with the identity of the 5000GT that appeared at Goodwood last year ?

This car was said to be a 1959 car, which I understand makes it one of two built that year.

The car is also said by the blurb to belong to Klaus Ochs and have once belonged to Stewart Granger.

Goodwood blurb is not always the most reliable wondering if any one can confirm the chassis number of the car and any ownership pertaining to Granger or anyone else ?

Relevant responses may be credited and used in a forth coming blog, thanking you in anticipation.

    Ciao,

I don't think the 5000 is a 1959, do you have the chassis number AM ___.____ ? If you have that finding the info you need is not to difficult.

What is also interesting is the 3500 GT in the background. It is one of a handful made with the radius A-pillar front windscreen and side windows, very rare. Did you get any photos or chassis information on that car?

Started life as painted in green. Completed 1962, first delivered to Merz&Pabst, Stuttgart.Same year sold to Stewart Granger. Belongs since the 1990ies to Mr Ochs. Wonder whether car found its original engine back (engine disappeared in the 1970ies). Photo shows model of the car, maybe that's the original colour.

    Ciao 3500GT,

I am afraid am not in with the right crowd enough to go around popping the bonnet to check the chassis numbers of the exhibits at Goodwood, so I do not have the chassis number.

As to the 3500GT I'm sure I took a couple, but I will have an equally unreliable amount of information without the chassis number, from memory the car had German plates on when I have dug them out is there more appropriate thread I can post them on ?

    Ciao 3500 GT,

Here is a photo of the 3500 GT that was in the background, the Goodwood Festival of Speed blurb I have says it is a 1958 model owned by Wolf-Dieter Baumann.
