    Hello,
I'm looking for the front windshield for a Maserati Tipo 108. The make is VIS, but no number is stamped. Does anyone know if any other 60s Maserati was fitted wit this make?

    Thanks!

Yes, there were four Tipo 108 made. Three of them were sold originally in Spain. The first two are a bit ugly, but the 3rd and 4th are beautiful. Both are in Spain, one red and the other is painted silver - this needs the front windshield. On the red car all glasses are Securit, except the front windshield which is VIS.
This is the reason I'm looking for a period car which could have the same part fitted.

I've never seen any mention of these before anywhere. What's the story? Great looking car.

Never heard of a tipo 108:

    - What chassis did it use (Sebring, Mistral, QP1, unique ... )?
    - which engine ? Carb or injected?
    - who was (were?) the coach builder ?

    More photos please ....

I found these images on Enrico's Maserati Pages of Tipo 108's. It states that both #002 and #008 were constructed by Touring with 3500GTI and 3700GTI engines respectively.

In Zagari's book, page 703, this car (108.008) is mentioned as a "Maserati 104 prototype by Touring, later sold in Spain." Great to know they still exist.

Did you check to make sure that a 3500 GT/GTI, Sebring, Sebring II or Mistral would not fit?

I would doubt if the windshields were bespoke for these 4 cars.

They are lovely, can you post more information for the Ferrarichat group? History, VIN etc?

    Ciao and best!

On my Mistral spyder the windshield is VIS and the other glass is Securit. Provide me with some measurements and I'll check them with my car.

Does the chassis use the round tubular frame members like the 3500GT or the square members like the Mistral?

    Hi,
I must change the front windshield on my 1965 3.7 Mistral Coupe.
Is it still possible to find original windshields for these cars (if yes where?) or only refabrications?

What are the problems and difficulties to deal with when doing this job?
Thank you for sharing your experiencies. Alain.

Is the Spanish am108 touring bodied car still for sale? I am going to Valencia in 10 days to see the 5000GT. And would love to see this car at the same time? Is it possible?

Anyone who know about AM108 008 I would love to hear about it. I just took the car out of a sea container from Europe. The car is in pretty good shape.
