The percentage of RHD cars is very low, compared to Khamsin (421 total, 73 EHD) I don't know of any Ghibli's in SA. but will verify with the club. (I haven't been looking, so there might still be some)

Hi David Just stumbled across this thread. I've got #1856 RHD SS, Original colour: Rame metallic with black. It was the London Motor Show 1970. I'm restoring it fully - it should be ready for action around Xmas 2014! Regards, Doug
Hi Doug Thank you for the information on your car, do you know who the 1st owner was? Roger Hainsworh has emailed me from the UK, he is restoring AM 115 - 992 - 4.7L manual coupe sold new in London in March 1969 to Michael Binns, the original colour was Green, Regards, David Zeunert Melbourne - Australia - [email protected]
Hi Francesco, Yes from my understanding they were using the 4.7l engine in Ghiblis in 1972, this engine I think also went into the Indy, the Bora also ran the 4.7L & 4.9l engines, Regards, David Zeunert Melbourne - Australia - 1/12/2013.
Hi Guys, I have found another car in Melbourne today, I have not viewed the car personally however it appears to be a LHD car which has been converted to RHD, its details are as follows AM 115 - 562 4.7L Manual - currently Primrose Yellow with early series lower toggle switches, no headrests, blue leather interior, wire wheels with after market 3 ear knockons, Regards, David Zeunert Melbourne - 5/12/2013.
Hi David The car went direct to Citroen Cars, U.K for display at the Motor Show (I've got the original factory docs). The car was first registered 25/5/71 and sold through a dealership to Mr Arthur Webb who must have been the 1st actual owner. I've been to see Roger's car - a Ghibli looks great in Green! Regards, Doug
Hi Doug, Thank you for your up date, the Octane magazine February issue features Steve Dowling from Australia fully restored Ghibli, this car is maintained by Andy Heywood @ Bill McGrath Maserati UK, Regards, David Z.
Hi Guys, AM 115 - 562 Currently in Melbourne, believed to have been sold new to Mrs Sellers (Britt Eckland - wife of Peter Sellers) in Rome, this car came to Australia in the 1970s, next seen for sale in 1978 @ John Ould Motors Armadale Melbourne, the car had been converted to RHD as was the Australian regulation in force then, in the 1980s the car went to South Australia & was owned by Frank Bett, some time later it was owned by Peter Bell, currently in Melbourne with Rocco Calebrese. Regards, David Z
562 is now offered for sale at DD Classics in London for around £260k. It is being shown at the Classic car show. Its yellow (but looks like a recent respray), switched back to LHD with possible non original wire wheels. Interior is original.
