hi guys Two weeks ago I was in the Motors Valley and paid my first visit to the Panini Collection, which is quite impressive. The moment i entered the "barn", all alone, was quite powerful. All my pictures are here for you to enjoy LeMaranello Road Trip, jour 2: collection Panini, Museo Enzo Ferrari et chasse à LaFerrari à Maranello cheers Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Thank you Nicolas for posting these fabolous pics! I'm particularly interested in the type 6CM, which was one of the cars of the Scuderia Ambrosiana in that period. The Milan dream team, founded by Cortese, Lurani, Minetti, and Villoresi, was active in the GP category with the 6CMs and in the sport category with the Lancia Aprilias by Zagato. I'm asking who knows if some of these is still in existance: #1541 (Villoresi), #1542 (Cortese), #1554 and #1558 (Minetti for S.Ambrosiana). Thanks.
#1541 was sold by Poulain Le Fur in Monaco in 2001 #1542 belongstoday to F1-mogul Bernie E. #1554 is possibly lost #1558 is owned in Switzerland today
An impressive collection which I visited a couple of times, not least because opposite the 'barn' there is a shop selling their parmigiano. Their farm controls the entire productions cycle of the cheese and is fully organic. They are happy to ship their products to all over Europe and they export to the USA. Hombre.it
It's such a special place and the ultimate Italian experience for a car lover. I went there two years ago and spent 2-3 hours in the barn. Compared to corporate car museums it was a completely different experience - much more authentic and down to earth. There is no entry fee, no guards, you just walk in and enjoy the collection. I think I was completely alone 60% of the time I spent there, walking around amazing machinery with Italian opera faintly playing in the background. Towards the end, the person who had directed me toward the barn when I was lost in the farm yard came in and we started chatting. It turned out it was the owner of the farm and the museum. He was such a nice, friendly fellow. He told about his father (he created the collection), about a number of the cars I didn't know that well and the passion for all things automotive that keeps them going. It really is just about passion - they don't make a penny off this museum and spent a ton every year to maintain it. It's all for the benefit of people like us who share the same passion. It really is Italy at its best...
One of my Favorite places on Earth! been there twice. I being a Maserati Nut, am in heaven at this place! My wife and I had Mateo ( Son ) give us the Tour of Farm and Museum, we stayed for hours, and towards the evening as we where leaving, we where lucky to meet Sr. Panini walking his small dog, he was so gracious and Kind! he gave us a personal tour of " the Milking of the Cows" Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
