I've been on again off again on these cars-but every time I see one, I think it's beautiful! I'm wondering what a nice early car would go for-carbs, 4 speed, round fogs, good history, etc

Also, were they numbers matching in terms of engine/body? And is there a register to find out?

    All sorts of newbie questions!

    Thanks

    Phil

    From the Hagerty site.
Of course I am biased but I think these prices are light.
Any Number one no stories car should bring well over 225K and exceptional cars are fetching closer to 300K. Check out the trend below.
If you can find one "buy it quickly"

This "trend" screams BUBBLE to me, that's a 15% annual rate of return on a condition 1 car and an even more astronomical 22.3% on condition 4!... but hey, I'm just a finance guy.

"If"? Hmm, I seem to be able to find +/- 25 just on one site overall (scrap to stunning, hardtop or softtop), pretty easily.

We are living Auction to Auction.
Please forgive the following reference to my political bias, but we could very well be in a bubble that will pop if the Dems loose the senate and the conservatives keep the house. It can then all be blamed on the Conservatives. There, I said it.
Go ahead and burn me at the stake.

Next up on the hit parade is Scottsdale.
If the cars drop 50% hey, jump in.
Not to dump on injected cars but these prices are blended. Early roll up window, weber cars are more spendy.
Here in Italy they are restoring them like they were Calif Spyders.
    Ciao,
    FGM

Prrrretty much. Yep.....Except incomes. Incomes are still in the tank. But explain that to a Keynesian and prepare to get your face torn off.

I see borrow and spend until we just give up the goose, so what the heck, let's party.

Sure, we'll put the booze on a congressional p card! Not like they'll pay it off anyway, they'll just ask for a higher limit. :)

And.....uh oh, no taper! Keep calm and inflate on. There may just be more nominal upside left yet :D

Hey Frank, can you come back and chime in on the numbers on chassis, engine, etc?

Is it Phil? Man I love your shots in the ice. Phenomenal stuff. The lamppost and the swimg, so haunting.

Peruse anamera dot com and have a look at the 3500's, quite a range.

How does your camera handle that without fogging? Was it film or digi? Sorry to jump the shark on your 3500 thread.

it only fogs when you go outside from hot to cold-once you've been out there for a while, everything is equally freezing...it was film-9 or ten years ago!

Subtract 15% for non matching numbers, but with an engine type as original for the model.
    Is this what you meant?
