this car is $20,000 ahead of mine from the start. buying this would save me at least 2-3months time. time that I really need. see my post on cancer in gold section. mine is completely in parts and really very rusty. look for photo in Maserati qp1 by me. u will quickly understand
Buy it! Looks like a perfect original car to start a restoration from. The ad states original color, looks dark grey in the pictures. Grigio Florida? At the website tipo107.com the car is listed as Blue Celeste with natural interior. So either the Thepenier register is wrong or the car has been repainted at some point. Or the VIN is not correct. In the ad it is listed as no 60. If you decide to part out your car, then I'd like to have first shot at two bertone window switches
It seems to be the 1964 Paris Motorshow car. No reasons that the S/N is wrong. Colors are sometimes wrong on building sheets. The car bears an old parisian registration.
Indeed. Parisian number plate dates from 1970, which means second owner (mentioned in the ad) lived in a different departement (Paris) than first owner, so he had to get a different registration. First owner, Mr de Lastours, who bought it off the Paris Salon on 13th of October, probably had it registered in the countryside, where he had his chateau... www.tipo107.com
Congratulations. The Thepenier register (THEPENIER - MASERATI - REGISTER) can provide you with infos about the early history of your car: [email protected] Have fun restoring it!
in Paris informs me that the QP1 just bought is the 1964 Paris Motor Show car. that will be easy to prove
I never thought I would want history on any car. but I think this QP1 #60 should have an historic record with the car. please provide me with that contact info. thank you
If you are interested to purchase the full historical documentation, including the order and build sheets, please get in touch with the Maserati Classic department, the right person to talk to is Mr Fabio Collina: [email protected]
