Am I totally crazy to have a 2008 QP as a d. d. here in Long Island? What kind of expenses yearly I should be expecting?

Crazy? Using a QP as the d. d?
Of course you are. Mad as a hatter!
    Completely doolally. Goodonyaman.

The day you stop doing the 'crazy', you should be put in a strait jacket and attended regularly by drug wielding male nurses.

Buddy, don't stop with the QP. Get a Barchetta as well and drive it on alternate days, whether rain or snow. Forget the expenses, enjoy the vida loca.

    Three cheers for the crazies.

I think it's a legitimate question. Anyone here with a mid-2007 or later Qporte that can share their experience? For $30-40K, they seem very appealing as DDs.

If you are buying a QP for 30-40k, expect 5-10k in repairs/service

Can you give any finer details about the problems/issues? (I have a Ferrari 456M and I can provide those with pretty fine granularity). What are the weaknesses to look for? I am only interested in cars with the ZF full torque converter automatic and not the cambiocorsa. Since you are with a dealer, you should be able to indicate the weak spots.

    Yes sir.

I would stay away from F1 if you can, meaning MY2008 and up, I believe some in 07 had F1, some were auto...

Just as an example, on the previous 2 QP's I took in needed:

    Ball joints/FCAB's
    2X Tires
    Rear Brake pads (expensive)
    Annual Service
    Alignment
If you are handy, you can do some of this at home to save $$$.

Doesn't sound bad at all, compared to the Ferrari. :D
As I mentioned, I'm avoiding the cambiocorsa (F1) so it's only the 2007s with the full auto, 2008 or 2009 models for me. Tires, brake pads and alignment are par for the course. Ball joints are a surprise. "FCABs"? Front control arm bushings? How much are those?

I get my brake pads from formula dynamics. The pads and rotors for the 456M from FD were are great; no dust and no noise. A full set of ront AND rear pads for $299 for the QP.

    FCAB- front control arm bushings
should be able to get both for around $400, the Ball joints are a bit more expensive.

Good luck in your search! IMO, the body style of the QP's you are looking looking at are one of the most elegant performance sedan's of our time, along with the e39 M5.

Thanks! Compared to maintaining a 456M, it sounds like "small potatoes."

Thank you for the generous offer to run the vin on a QP I have a serious eye for. As for the QP you show from flickr, it looks like a later model and therefore too much $. If I want to spend serious money for a daily driver, my wife wants a Tesla Model S (and I agree with her). The appeal of the 07-09 QP is that it's 1/3 the cost so I can spend money on gas and maintenance and still come out ahead.
