Hello Tom, I'm thinking about reproducing these moldings, anyone needing these moldings needs to contact me now, if there is no interest i will repair the ones i have. Price will depend on demand, the more sets i can sell the cheaper they will be. Dan 760-363-7448 California PST

I would be interested in a pair, as soon as you could let me know a ball park figure I can confirm.

I've been working on my trims this week. I found on my Merak that stainless steel is amazing stuff. Any dents can be pushed out from behind and then polished back to as new. I spent a long time straightening the trims and then making the rear edges parallel. Then today I started lightly sanding the trims to indentify the low spots which are then lightly hit from behind to bring them slightly proud. Then sand flat. It takes time and practice but they will be good as new when finished

Wow, that is really impressive. Very nice work. Looks perfect. You'd never know they were the same piece. How thick is the stainless bumper?

Hi Poguemahone, that bonnet trim is available in un-chromed OEM brass from MIE.
It is too expensive for my taste, over 400 dollars. I am going to try and make my own from brass channel. It looks quite simple. I'll let you know how I get on.

    Cheers.

    Mark.

OK Mark. Will need it if possible, complete w/ mesh, within the 2 months.

It's not that thick maybe third of a mm or so, so go easy knocking the dents out from behind. The side trims are thinner again!!
