Recently, Ivan started a thread for Maserati paint and color codes.. Very important for all of us.. As such, I thought it might be useful to do the same with the leather choices and colors for our Maserati cars... I hope this was not done before! Attached you will find a sample wheel of Connolly leather.. Unfortunately, I am not sure to which years it is applicable, nor can I remember where I even got it.. About all I know is that I have had it for quite some time. Mike Image Unavailable, Please Login
That green swatch is TOTALLY FAR OUT AND GROOVY!!!!!! Or as we would say in the 21st century, absolutely incomprehensibly awful. I guess it went well with psycho-active pharmaceuticals at the time........wonder if it was ever Requested.....?! Regards. M.
That green swatch is TOTALLY FAR OUT AND GROOVY!!!!!! Or as we would say in the 21st century, absolutely incomprehensibly awful. I guess it went well with psycho-active pharmaceuticals at the time........wonder if it was ever Requested.....?! Yes, it was. my 1974 Indy 4,9 wears it very proudly. It's called Verde Vaumol (VM 3789) and is absolutely stunning with the Verde Indy (Italver 3546) exterior. Find out yourself! P Image Unavailable, Please Login
Well......definitely! Whilst I think the exterior colour is just about the best one could choose for an Indy, the complete cabin in that colour of leather is far too much for me personally. I would favour a more conventional (boring!) Senape/Ivory/Tobacco. I am, however, very glad it exists, and in such fine condition, as such things as colour are dictated entirely by individual taste, and the gamut of personal preference is one of the things which makes the world such an interesting place! Regards. Mark.
For the real Connoisseur only ! I love it. Was wondering too where I could find the original dash material.
Vignalespider. Any chance of posting more exterior photos. restoring my Bora and it left the factory Verde Indy but is currently red. I want to bring it back to factory. It would be great if you had the formula to share. Greg
Here it comes. Enjoy! Don't knownthe formula, though, and neither the source for the dash-top kind of mouse hair material. Cheers. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Btw: pls note the factory steel sunroof, apparently one of only three Indys to get it from the factory, out of a population of 1104 indys.
The best being IMO the one-of color of the interior. As regards the original dash material, I found it normally in Texas, but was wondering if they were crooks or not, as they asked me after giving me the price and I put a 225$ down payment, to pay for an additonal 125$ cost of shipping from I don't know where to their shop !!!
Hey, the epitome of the 70s. Never seen such a colour combination in the flesh, but to be honest: I would have never ordered it like that new, but if i would be offered this car now in that combination: Yes, absolutely stunning combination of colours. A great Indy, congrats!
Vignalespider, that is one fantastic Indy, I love the color combo, thanks for sharing! Kind regards Kim
Vignalespider. You have done good with those shots.I am totally convinced to paint my Bora the way it left the factory Verde Indy. Thanks for posting. Greg
Most welcome. The car WAS ordered like that by a Spaniard in 1974; one of the very last Indys to leave the Factory. I was wondering myself if I would have been brave enough in the mid seventies to do that. But luckily, there was one man brave enough. And I am proud to be the caretaker of this piece of history. best, p
What a beauty? Verde Indy is the paint for an Indy. Warm silver metallic being second choice. I am as a few of you know looking to repaint my car next winter.... And selecting colour not easy. Cars orininalSenape in great condition and will be main consideration. Original Silver metallic ok (but just light plain silver metallic) but car now navy blue, so major repaint underway anyway. Warm silver is tricky to pin down, but it seems to exist. Codes? Verde Indy I did find and have sampled. It is top of list so far. So cool. Warmsilver not as cool. Just very elegant. Both work well with Senape! As for now, just nice evening/night by coast in Southern Sweden with my dark blue Indy. ) Martin Image Unavailable, Please Login
