Hi, I am setting up a Ghibli registry with David Z and hope to have the website running soon. I could not have even attempted this without a huge amount of help from MaseratiBlue who is setting up the Website itself and knows how to get the pages up and running. Like the Merak registry which he runs, all information does not have to go public but it will be interesting to see how many are still around as the Ghibli coupe approaches its fiftieth Birthday in 2016 and hopefully the website can expand to cover anything of interest to the Ghibli owner. This is not a commercial enterprise of any kind. http://www.ghibli-registry.com/ Julian
Ok Julian ... I have to ask. What do you have against spyders ? Are they not being welcomed in this Registry? I say include all Ghiblis ... except that new four door thingy that dilutes the name. Ivan
Absolutely nothing Ivan, I just wanted to clarify that the registry was for Ghibli 1967 to 1973 and I managed to stuff that up. Yes spyders most welcome Julian
Hi Julian, I was expecting this response. I was just rattling your cage ... Good job at creating a Ghibli registry !! Ivan
Thanks Ivan, David already has a list of about 200 cars that he has recorded so we should be off to a reasonable start, the rest is down to everybody else here getting involved and digging out the info...Shame Walter is not participating on Ferrarichat since we will be duplicating much of his work Julian
Except now the information will be on a public website and not controlled by one individual. The problem of having the information controlled by one individual, no matter how good that person might be, is that if the individual is gone so is the information. This registry is a welcomed addition. Ivan
Hi Julian, Congratulations for your registry, it is a very good idea. Unfortunatly the strory of 115.554 is wrong. I already read that on the net, that was from "Dottore" Walter B but the car has never been repainted from Green to Rosso Rubino by Thépenier.(confirmed by Fabio) If you want you can consult the registry of the French Ghiblis 29 cars with 5000 engine (With the /49) and 68 with the 4700 engine (including 6 5000 engine)
Thanks Angus, better get the facts corrected. Maybe we should add a link to the clip in the movie too again https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=19xM-D-X2TU it doesn't work here but maybe it still does there Julian
