Great, looking forward to see the rest.

These Maserati sports-racers are insanely beautiful!

    Best,

Yes and furthermore fantastic to drive, Tour D elegance is one of a life time event! Specially when followed by 2 TR and Jackie Stewart in our group! Unfortunately there are some reasonable speed limits ( ie on top of legal ones,,) on route One! I would have liked to stop at Big Sur , at least for a coffee, but the pressing schedule to be in time at Carmel for lunch meant we just did a U turn at a gas station,,and drove back! A pity, the day before we took privately the cars ( we had the 300S and a 250S together) and drove from PB to Monterey by Spanish Bay in a clear bright sunny day, to gas the cars and buy some products to polish them ( no product are allowed in the shipment from Europe,!) and this was the trip of the event! Will post pictures when close to a computer!
    How is your Daytona moving?

Thanks for sharing your experience, can't wait to see the photos!

You have me confused with Jacques, who reports on the progress of the Daytona of a mutual friend, I am the poor guy of the bunch and have to make do with a Khamsin :)

    Best,

    Jack.

Is that a V12 250F? Was it fired up during the event? If so, any footage?

    Will post!
Sorry about the confusion, which one of you used to own a ( grey?) 275GTB?

    No problem.
None of us. I don't believe there is a 275 GTB left in South Africa! Unfortunately the huge fluctuation in the value of the ZARand has seen most classics leave our shores. Anything Ferrari from before the 70-ies is truly exceptional.
Maerati is a little better off, but not much.

    Best,

    Jack.

Yup, and make no mistake, there are some good cars left here, butthey are few and far between.

    Best,
