I am looking for two good condition Weber 45DCO 3 carburetors for a Maserati 200 SI race engine I am restoring. Does anyone have a source or a lead?

Elliot: Do not buy repros, either from Italy or the UK. They do not work, even on the track.

Thanks George. Unfortunately, there aren't any new DCO carbs being manufactured in the 45 mm diameter by the reconstituted Weber, just 50 and 55 mm, if memory serves me correctly. The 45DCO 3 was used on a number of racing cars in the 1950's including Maserati but for some reason Weber decided not include that diameter when they remanufactured the DCO line. Darn! Used 45DCO 3 are pretty rare and pretty expensive but I really want to see if I can acquire two of them. The chase is on!

Correction on my last post, the sizes are 48 mm and 50 mm but both are still not correct for my 4 cylinder Maserati race engine.
