The wife has decided she needs a Granturismo. I have done some research and it appears the 2010 and newer models are much better due to transmissions.
We drove the base model and was unimpressed but like the S Sport Model.
We have also seen the Sportline and SM Stradale versions.
I would sincerely appreciate any experiences and advice.

You might want to post this over on the Maserati Life forum, at http://www.************.com/forums/

They have more focus on current models. Go to the section "Modern Maserati", where there is a sub-forum titled "GranTurismo"

I would recommend the GT Sport with ZF-transmission, a perfect combination. With just a little bit gasoline in the blood you'll love it too. Good luck!

I have a 2013 GranTurismo MC and I love it. Only problem is the wife is always taking it when I'm not looking. Great GT car if you dont need to load tall adults in the back. Although, once in the back there is more room than you think. I ended up selling my Evora S and E92 M3 cause I found myself always grabbing the Maserati keys.

P.S. The exhaust note is awesome.

Feel free to PM me with questions.

I have the 08 paddle-shift and love it. Critics say the early automatic mode is bland, and the manual is difficult to learn. The newer model transmission can help a novice driver get a spec 0-60 time by simply flooring the pedal. Personally, I love the 08. The automatic is perfect when your in-law wants to drive the car, and you don't want him to break anything. I prefer the manual mode and can shift through chicanes and straights like a pro. It takes practice.
