I posted this in another spot but this car deserves it's own thread. I saw this morning and OMG. I own Maserati's factory version of a car like this but this thing is totally wild and the guy drives it way over the limit in this video. Truly impressive. There is just so much wrong with this car. You can hear the brakes grab and leave long patches almost every time he applies them yet he doesn't lose control terribly. The boost is light switch on off and if you know these well engines that tach on the far right is a long ways past the the redline for a stock engine so they must have really worked this one over. It's 100+ more HP than mine and 375 lbs lighter as well. But even so it's a hoot to watch. The guy does far too much John Deere duty for me but he pulls it off. Holy Crap.... What an excellent video.. I really enjoyed watching it.. The Nurburgring is such a beautiful course, absolutely gorgeous!!! I was very impressed watching the boost and tachometer gauges.. Lighting quick boost, almost instantaneous into the red!!! Thanks for posting Bob... Mike
I was just reading that this might be a video game in another thread with a post by Joe and Bob... If so... Very, very impressive... Mike
Tis true I got duped, because I wanted to believe it! Doh! As a side benefit that's got to be the best way to campaign a car!
At 1:01 and 2:03 you can see that the driver's hands are not on the wheel. But overall the video is quite lifelike. The motion helps hide the illusion.
The leaves on the trees blow at times but it's too simple looking as well and as you point out it moves so fast that it makes it hard to observe stuff like that. The "so fast" is also a clue.
