And it is an automatic, which is not adding to its value... Old dash, low VIN and 4.9: strange! Prettige avond Bart
Hi Bart, I recognized your Ghibli in one of your previous posts. It was the Ghibli I saw a few weeks ago and rode behind it for several km's from Helmond to E'hoven. Ever since I 'm determined to buy a GT Maserati. Thanks for that The Ghibli will be beyond my budget but the Indy seems a nice alternative for me. That brought me to the Indy thats for sale at Witmer&Odijk. By the way; what is a 'low VIN'? Goed weekend verder.
Looks like a 4,7 L dashboard. Have AM 116/47 1104 here and its from 71. Maybe there is a 1 missing? Maybe Fabio Collina at Maserati can help Dirk
Hi, Very nice talking about these VIN/chassis numbers, but where are the photos ? They are good looking car so let's see them. Mamamia.
See more pics on Te koop: Maserati Indy 4.9 Automaat '72 12.000km ? 69.950,- Price is 70k. Is that value for money? What if matching of nrs is doubtfull?
Low VIN is a early chassis number ( Vehicle Identification Number) You were driving a dark Alfa? Rgds, Bart
there are other details i would wonder about. Where is the 3rd air intake on the hood which should be on a 4.9L? Didnt most 4.9L come with Campagnolo Star wheels (same as on the Ghibli and Khamsin). Think the late 4.7L came with 15" Borrani alloys, correct? Wrong wipers are just a small detail but why not take the correct ones when restoring a car. They don´t cost much. Certainly no hydrolic Citroen brakes which would also be common for a 4.9L even though some came without. Engine looks clean but one little hose is missing. Personally i really like the color but would hesitate to buy a car with an automatic transmission.
The oil and fuel recommendation plate look to have some age but the omologation plate seems to be and new. Why the difference?
