    Restoration done. The car is stuck at the border in Canada. Pissed. Rule change sonde last month. 😡.

    temp. was nice today. so I took my first drive. it has been since 2004 that i have driven this car. I really enjoyed myself. thank you Brett, Grandturismo Auto Alliston Can. I drove 30 miles on a country road. revved to 6,000 so easy. exhaust sang

    What rule changed? I know they're pretty sticky about people having cars restored in the states and then driven back to Canada without declaring the work like nothing happened... There's some stories out there of people getting their nice new rides seized for their stupidity.

    Someone suggested to me that I have a car painted in Canada. So which customs officials gave you all the flack?

    Did you have to pay local vat since you're an out of country customer?

    I just paid the shop. He out sourced the job. I would no consider sending a car for paint. They are much higher

    The number I was given say otherwise if it's accurate. I also know of a couple of well know guys in the Maserati community who have their cars shipped to Italy for body & paint work because it's cheaper than they can have similar quality work done here. This is for 1st class work.

    Are much higher than mine. $5,000 is typically what I spend. With rust problems

    that included a lot of rust repair. windows do not come out.

    Oh ...

    Well actually ... my theoretical standards for a passenger might be. You see the only car I've ever had completely repainted and that didn't include the door jambs, no glass out either was my GOC race car and that was about $3K. But then it's a track car so it's way different. But that was just for the respray. Metal work for a bent hood and fender plus a completely destroyed fiberglass front end spoiler was another $5K. But that was track damage.

    Car driven twice. 50 miles each time. Runs great. Got ready to take it out last week and noticed water under it. Bad radiator😩 So down this week. Took me a week to get a garage opening.

    the radiator will get fixed and in the car. I have another just like it to go in. they will only take one car of mine at a time.

    I'm seeing so many sideways photos these days on Fchat.
    I don't have an iPhone (android here) but I don't post directly from my phone anyway.

    What can be done for these poor souls?

    I now have doctors visits scheduled (orthopedist) and physical therapy scheduled! ;)

    What side view mirror is that? I have the Vitanloni's, (sorrry for the spellling!) and my passenger side one is almost useless. yours seem to protrude more and offer a better angle?

    I put one of those on my Bora too. But I only have the driver's side mirror so I'm surprised to hear that the electric Tornado Vitaloni's don't give great vision because they're superb on the driver's side even if they are clunky looking. I ended up putting the Tornado back on because these skinnier mirrors articulate in a couple of spots and don't stay put, especially at high speed.
