Could these be the first official pictures of the Levante SUV? Can't remember them popping up somewhere else... Video: Exclusief: Maserati Levante - AutoWeek.nl Bye, Max.
It seems to be the price to pay in the modern world that the previously sporting Marques are required to produce cash cows such as this, in order to finance their 'interesting' cars. May as well be a rebadged Cayenne or Lexus 450.......yawn. I hope it sells millions of units so we get to see proper Maseratis in future. NOW BRING ON THE ALFIERI! M
On the other hand: is was the Cayenne that made Porsche the brand it is today. It coudn't exist without an SUV. Like you said: hope Maserati uses the resources to make proper sportscars and sedans. Bye, Max.
Yes it looks like a genuine factory (leaked?) video with the actual Levante as opposed to another impression, not bad for an SUV. The Geneva show starts in 10 days so an opportunity to see all the new models...the leggy ones and the vehicles too such as this one Frankly the Geneva show is the only time of year I look at modern cars and after 4 hours (as opposed to 4 full days at Retromobile) I am done, just have to get out after seeing all the plastic, electronics not my thing but the young ladies are spectacular so make it worthwhile, my favorite is actually one from cadillac, the lady not the vehicles. In all seriousness I dislike the idea of a Maserati SUV like the next man but not only will it bring lots of sales one other thing should not be overlooked: markets where roads are not usable for standard Maseratis magically open up for SUV's and the same applied to the Cayenne, when it came out. In Pompano beach Florida just north of Fort Lauderdale Dave Maraj of Trinidad (diamond mine family) owns Champion Porsche the largest Porsche dealership in the world well when the Cayenne came out he had hundreds of them in a parking lot because he has cornered the Caribbean market and has men in suits with cases full of brochures marketing the cars there...so the Levante will sell in big numbers in all merging markets and yes hopefully Fiat will not forget (!) to continue making proper Maseratis like the Alfieri and Granturismo. Best regards, Marc
Looks like there isn't a V8 for the moment which concurs with what the president of Ferrari Quebec told me. I'm assuming they will add the V8 later as a GTS model? Either way, it should sell very well. Regards,
Yup ... looks like it has identical Ghibli or a Quattroporte styling cues. You know ... I have hard time distinguishing the Ghibli from the Quattroporte on the road when I only get glimpse of them. At least this will break that trend.
my first impressions, buick suv from front 3/4 and cayenne from rear 3/4 view. also, heard maserati is using the grand cherokee platform.
I think the Kubang looks better and it also seems like it's sized differently. The Levante is probably a more practical shape that allows greater interior volume? Just a guess.
looks very much like a Macan or Cayenne. I would have a Volvo XC90 instead. Probably a Ghibli over this if it has to be a Maserati. BTW - Ghibli should have been a two seater GT.
WOW, not what I'm seeing...... Cayenne looking like the sexy older sister to this POS.... I am embarrassed for Maserati.....
Not bad for an SUV, nice interior and it will probably look a lot better in life than in photo's. That being said, I despise all SUV's on the road. They are just like traveling in an elephant caravan of a Maharaja.
Nice to see the inner A$$H@!& come out from a lot of people on the list. Nothing wrong with the Levante. The real test will be when it is seen side by side with its competition.
Most people cry and complain about SUVs and how premium historic brands are making them, then you see the amount of sales they generate and it all makes sense. Volvo practically saved itself with the new XC90 and Porsche has been on fire since the Cayenne, Macan and horrid Panamera. Most of you will be buying the Levante for your wives.....
The current Ghibli does look way better in person than in photos. I hopeful that the Levant will have an impressive exhaust note.
Nah...this remains the only desirable SUV made by an exotic car company...complete with V-12 engine: Image Unavailable, Please Login
The Levante looks like any other SUV... I am happy I transport myself in a 550 Maranello and a Chevrolet Avalanche. They are just more honest to the brand equity of their respective brands....
