    A friend of mine has been restoring a Mexico a few years.
    It´s almost completed now.
    Unfortunately the crome grill surround has been deemed unsavable.
    Does anyone out their have one to sell?

    Which part exactly does he need? That grill surround consists of at least 4 pieces. Series I or II?

    Correction- He needs the upper part and the two side parts. The lower piece is ok /Jan

    It will be interesting to see if the pieces are available.

    There were so few of these cars made, I would suspect the entire grill surround
    was custom made for each car. Even if the owner is lucky enough to find the pieces,
    he may still be better off having them made...

    Hi Mike, We are well aware of this fact. I would be a real fluke if we can find one, and it will most probably have to be modified to fit the car. Jan

    I missed the lower part for my car and took it from another Mexico, that fitted ok (Thanks Bart). I still need the two small chrome strips on the side, i will have to remanufacture them myself i think. A friend of mine made a copy of my upper chrome grill part already and will use that to remanufacture the part for his Mexico, probably he is able to produce more than one part. I will ask him...
    If you happen to get samples for the side strips i would be interested in them too. You need at least a reference. But still: Chrome for series I or II wanted? They are different...

    I´m unfamiliar with the two series of the Mexico and so is the owner of the car in question. It´s a -70 model with the large engine. Anticipating the answer re. remanufacturing. Thank you. Please keep in touch. Kind regards, Jan F.
