Here is a early Mistral Spyder number 033 with roll up windows and a 3.5 liter. Rather tatty and in need of a complete restoration in the hands of a marque specialist. Wrong carpets poor panel fit. Who knows what lurks under the skin and what the mechanical condone is. When I see shoddy work such as the fuel lines shown here I just know this car will need a whole lot of sorting. 4.7 Mexico with 93,612 KLM power steering and wire wheels sells for $130 +10% fees =#143,000 Fair price for a car that needed a lot of work. When you see a lot of non original and shoddy work you just know that what you don't see will be speedy. Wrong leather, wrong carpets, side lights, etc etc This car was auctioned at the new Worldwide Auction company which now makes 7 auctions in the week. Hi Frank, This car sports a feature that appears in few modern Ghibli restorations that I'm not convinced about. The coining on the upper parts of the wheelarches is joined to the sharp crease in the body side. In my opinion this is not 100% correct and this coining should actually continue around the wheelarch opening fading out below the side feature line as shown below. Any thoughts? This car sold for $315,000 + 10% at todays RM Auction. Bought very well in my opinion. The estimate was set at $450,000 to $550,000. The sale price was well under the estimate. I owned this car for over 10 years and restored it back in the 1980's. Ciao, FGM
A bit of nervousness in the market perhaps? The Trump factor? The UK auction at Goodwood just after Brexit posted poor results and after the world carried on as usual sales have returned to normal it seems Julian

Frank, Thank you for the update. Looks like a lot of no sales. Overall what was the mood on the floor? Were people in buying mood or just there to kick tires and have a good time? Ivan
The mood was soggy, as it was raining and cold. Very unlike the normally warm Arizona we all know. Seriously It is hard for me to put a finger on the mood. The strong dollar i suspect kept the Europeans, Brits and the Canadians home. I think generally cars were soft, and the crowd was there to see what was happening. Not many classics and good cars seem to be flat. Good Gullwings struggle to make 1.1 million. Daytona coupes a no sale at $600K. Ciao, FGM
