Fellow Mexico owners, I am restoring a S1 car and need: 1. A photo of what rubbers are inside the fuel caps, 2. Advice on where to acquire such rubbers, I would post pictures of the restoration but my limit has been reached. After 19 months we are about to apply paint! Chiaro Celeste Metalizatto. Over & out! Hi Phil, this should be the part you are looking for: https://www.maseratinet.com//pc-9785-560-fuel-neck-grommet.aspx
Hello Phil... lbird provided the info on the rubber grommets for the tank filler necks themselves. I wasn't sure what you meant by inside the caps, so I am attaching 2 pictures of the fuel filler caps themselves.. On mine there is an o-ring that seals the cap to the tank filler neck.. Hopefully either of us was able to answer your question... Mike Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Thank you both for your responses. I should have been more clear. What rubbers are used to stop the metal fuel flap from hitting and rubbing against the base of the car when the fuel flap is closed? Best regards Phil
Hello Phil... Let's see if these two pictures answer your question.. There are no rubber bumpers/stops when the fuel flap door is closed on my car.. I also did not see any holes where these could be mounted. Hope this helps.... Mike Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Here's whats on my car. It's a pretty standard 10mm x 4mm piece of soft rubbery foam. It's gray and a previous owner tried to paint it black. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Thank you very much! I really appreciate the effort to post this photo for me. Looks like Chiaro Celeste Metallizzato! Same colour as my S1 is about to be resprayed this week. Best Regards Phil
