2ND Annual Castaway Critters Car Show

    Well folks, it's time to get the ball rolling! I'm very pleased to announce that we will be holding the 2nd annual "Cool Cars for Cats and Canines" on April 28, 2012, at the AACA Museum in Hershey, PA.

    Last year we had a terrific turnout, and overall it proved to be a great success. We really would like to duplicate that this year, and hopefully even "grow" a little.

    As many of you know, my wife Betsy is the chairman of "Castaway Critters". This wonderful organization has saved the lives of more than 7,500 dogs and cats over the past ten years. Your generosity with last year's show has allowed this kind of work to continue.

    This is a great show at a great location for a great cause. Definitely worth attending. I hope to make it up again.

    Plus you have the incredible AACA car museum to check out while you are 32 feet from the entrance.

    Darn it - will be in the UK - my Ma's 85th ..... Prior weekend is the All Porsche Swapmeet at Hershey also missing this .....

    Nick, sorry you won't be able to make it. Give your mother a little assistance trying to blow out all of those candles.

    Nick, I was hoping to see you and your terrific RS again. I was envisioning the RS and my 959 parked next to each other. This may be the first public event for the 959. Looks like it's finally heading to the U.S. I hope the temps for this year's event are warmer than last year. It was chilly all day, with a stiff wind. But you're a good son to be with your mom on her 85th. My mom just turned 94. Hope yours and mine have many more birthdays to celebrate.

    That 959 is a wonderful car. It would be a real treat to see that in person. Only have seen an example once before at the 50th anniversary at Radnor in 06. Bring it on!!!

    Have you had a chance to driver her? Has to be interesting. I would assume it would hang close to the GRX, if you wanted to go balls to the wall.

    Don, the 959 is unbelievable. I have never seen one in person. What will the federalization process involve?

    And of course, thanks to everyone who has signed up so far. Please pass this information along to any of your car enthusiast friends. We really want to make a solid effort for the care of the companiona animals in the "Castaway Critters" network.

    I can not wait!! I was there last year, but we didn't have our Corvette yet. Since we now own one, we will be there!! Its coming out of storage in early April. So we will be there with our Corvette!
