I know !!! A rare chance for me to see it in person. I also have pics of Vettles winning F1 car. Look at all those Lotus badges!!!
FWIW pictures absolutely do not do justice to the Alfa 4C. THAT is a beautiful car.

is it me or Ferrari really doesn't care as much about consumers? coz we are in line for any release... demand is quite high. Everything is marked up, and they even make you buy cars you don't want, to buy rare cars you do. This is probably why Leno doesn't want to play their game...

Ferrari used to be at the show, just not recently, apparently. Why should they go to that expense when they easily sell every car they build?

I'm not sure that's true. I bet there are FF's hidden already built just not in showrooms but can be accessed if a customer is looking for one. They also could build more if they had customers to buy them. It's not like they are building to capacity. Several manufactures had hospitality areas for existing customers to enjoy. My FCA card and my insurance card were ready at hand to gain access. Sadly Lambo , Maserati , Lexus and Honda hospitality didn't care about my FCA OR 430 Scud ownership.

FWIW, I used to go to the NY auto show annually and to my recollection its been VERY long time since Ferrari has been at the auto show. I can vividly recall, for some inexplicable reason, the year Vector debuted at the show!

Was it the year there was a maroon 25th anniversary countach on display as well? I seem to remember that, but my memory could be playing tricks. I was there in 1988, and I believe it's the year the 25th anniversary came out, so those thing tie together. I do remember a big Vector stand for the new model--I think there were several, and again I could be wrong, but I remember a black one.

I remember when they stopped going to the NY auto show. think was 1994

The people that organize the show wanted to put all the exotics in a section in the back. Ferrari said no, we have to be in the front where the public comes in.

NY auto show would not put Ferrari in the front section so Ferrari pulled out.

I originally had posted that I hadn't seen them at the auto show in 20 years, but deleted it because I wasn't certain. Thanks for the info! The last time I had recalled ferrari being there the 348 was in production! I never knew why they disappeared but this certainly sounds like Ferrari to me!!!

As for the Vector, I only remember the
Red one but there probably were two. The red one was front and center and everyone, and I mean EVERYONE was gathered around it like it was the Holy Grail. People have no idea what a BFD that car was when it came out.

Yea, I remember when they pulled out, the next year, we started doing ride and drives with the customers.

We did at medowlands parking lot autocross. FNA felt was better to spend money on that instead of being in the back of the autoshow.

    Regards, Jim

Got the chance to go to the first press day which was pretty cool. Mmmm the 918 was something else. Other things weren't all that exciting (I'm looking at the Agera R)

The mirrors on the Alfa 4C look huge and out of proportion for such a small car.

I have a picture from the 2006 NY auto show - the new model - 599 GTB was on display at the ferrari booth. That picture has hung by my computer as my goal to obtain my dream car......
