OK folks...We are long overdue for one of our dusk drives. I propose we meet at C&C next Thursday evening (July 31st) at 6:30pm. Go for a nice drive and arrive at the Four Dogs Tavern around 7:30 for dinner. I am really excited about this event, I've polled some of the regulars and they all committed.... Alex L. promised that if I planned the event, he would find a way to make the exhaust on his 360 even louder! Yahoo! I know we are all excited about that one...I know I am....it means for the first time we will be able to catch him when he tries to sneak out on the bill. Steve T. even promised that if I planned the event, he would only smoke 2 packs of cigarettes at dinner! In perhaps unrelated news, Altria stock plummeted on the news that Virginia Slims anticipated a sharp drop in sales over the coming weeks. Jon W. went as far as to say he would wear a spandex T-shirt, which sounded cool until I reminded him that all of his T-shirts were made out of spandex... Finally, and this is most exciting...Don B. promised to take his Lotus Elan!!!! While this may not sound terribly exciting to you, the people who make Duct Tape were thrilled to hear the news!!! On a more serious note, as some of you may know, JoeMac has been battling an eating disorder ever since he found out that Keira Knightley had a smaller waist line. Joe promised that if I planned this event, he would eat his whole meal. Of course, last year he promised the same thing and, as some of you may recall, he ordered a cucumber salad. All was fine until we had to go to the emergency room on the way home to get the cucumber removed... Well, I digress... I am hopeful a lot of you guys can make it! If you are interested, please sign up below so I can have an accurate list for the restaurant. Rain date is Tuesday, August 5th. 1. JoeZaff
As long as no presidents drop into Delaware, or Wilmington doesn't blow up I should be there . Even though last year was bad luck as one of my coils went south. We should see about a different server this time.
That sounds great. With my spandex shirt I cant eat much but I'll go on the drive and watch you eat. But it's ok . Separate checks please. I'll binge when I get home jon in Delaware
I cannot make the event, but Joe, that is one of the effin' funniest things I've ever read. Duct tape..cucumbers....my friend, you missed your calling. You should be writing comedyin Hollywood!
Oh and since no one including me can read instructions I'll start the list: Zaff Don B Jon W/ Christine /Biame ( yes the love dogs at Four Dogs ) Steve T Bob C
Brilliant idea and hilarious invite, please add my name to the list. Now comes the mystery : what will Joe drive?. Now that his project car is done will he risk bug splatters and stone chips on his baby after all the hours he and Jay put into it? Will the TR have become the "beater" of his collection? Only time will tell... JZ Don B Jon W/Christine/Biame Steve T Paul N
The MGB of course, except for taking it to the city, I use it as a daily driver. I probably go through a tank of gas a week! Words cannot express how much I enjoy driving that little car. In addition to running errands etc with her, Jay and I try to do at least one impromptu drive a week after work. She is hands down the most endearing and entertaining car I have ever owned. I will drive her until she needs to be rebuilt, and then do it all over again.

Errrr . . . I'm afraid to ask . . . and . . . ummm . . . I'm not sure I want to know . . . but . . . ahhhm . . . Where was the cucumber located that a Physicion was needed to remove it? Was it not sliced properly?
That's great, I'll have your proctologist standing by I thinking about it too. I thinking that if you don't come dinner, they find Jay body in back of MGB
