Many of us noticed this, and we are concerned. That, combined with the fact we are overflowing and there is no parking for customers of the stores, I fear that we may be asked to take it elsewhere.

 

Spectacular turnout today but you are right, getting very big for the space available. We'd be less intrusive on shop customers if we shifted the primary location to the lot behind Starbucks. That way the more customer friendly lot becomes the over flow area versus the other way around. Just a thought.

 

I am not an attorney but I can tell you that if someone is selling items from a make shift vendor booth at cars and coffee in that parking lot there will be complaints from the tenants of that shopping center that actually pay rent. Cars and coffee has always been hobbyists meeting place and once it gets commercialized it loses all appeal. I am sure Jon (pearl coupe), the originator of this would feel the same way.

 

What did you get, Jared?

 

I am in agreement of being against the commercialization. Even though I am a vendor on this forum, I dont push my services or advertisement at this event. Should anyone need them, they know where to find me. This weekly meeting is just as much as an escape for me as it is for the rest of us. Let us stick to being the hobbyists and gearheads we are.

 

I think the best way to maintain our welcome is to support the stores that are there so they don't see us as a nuisance. Starbucks does fine, but the others could use some support. We just used the new frozen yogurt shop this week and it was great. They asked me how I heard about them and I made sure to let them know it was because I was there for C&C.

Give the shops some business and the likelyhood of complaints will go down dramatically.
