First, the HISTORY: It dawned on me the other day that I have been away from the crew for awhile and missed many opportunities to remind you that (1) old british cars rule, but yet (2) the Testarossa is the greatest car ever made. So I started thinking, how do I get all of you in one place long enough to pontificate. At first I thought, well, we could go for a drive and meet for lunch...but then I realized some of your fingers might get tired with all that flappy paddle shifting... Then I thought, you could come to my place and I could give a seminar on Miami Vice and the importance of Linen to a man of taste, but then I thought, would they appreciate it? Can they understand that Crockett's penchant for turquoise is but a complicated metaphor for Man's desire to return to the womb... Finally, alone with my tweed hat and pipe while reading a fire retardant pamphlet on the genius of Lucas Electronics, it came to me... I'll buy those S.O.B.'s breakfast! THE PLAN April 11th 8:30 AM OAKES DETAIL has kindly agreed to host our crew at his new shop for breakfast and lunch! My firm will supply the bagels, donuts and coffee. As always, I am going to use this opportunity to raise money for a good cause...this time for the Chester County Food Bank, so any donations are appreciated, but certainly not required. DRIVE... A bunch of us are probably going to go for a good long drive after breakfast. Anyone who wants to join us is certainly welcome. Don't worry, we will take a break at some point so you guys can cool off from the hard work of managing all those electronic nannies. Those not interested can feel free to Hang out at Nick's and admire the machinery LUNCH 12:30PM We will return to Nick's for Burgers and dogs, courtesy of Oakes Detail!! If interested, please sign up below: Thanks and we look forward to seeing you there!
Thanks Joe and Nick for hosting! I plan to flap my paddles over there in a British car while wearing Turquoise Tweed.
