    In a lapse of judgment I got a 82 in 55 and failure to use turn signals today while on route 1. It's my first ticket in about a year.

    I am open to suggestions for lawyers in Media.

    It's been a particularly bad day and this capped it off.

    I got a big ticket in Maryland earlier this year. I had nothing on my record in almost a decade. I went to court, apologized, pointed out my long-clean record, and asked for Probation Before Judgement. The judge had no problem with it. I happily paid my fine, avoided any points, and left--slowly.

    Your mileage may vary, but if you have a clean record and some self confidence, you may do just fine on your own. I did.

    Did this happen on the stretch of road between 476 and the Granite Run Mall? I always see the revenue collectors waiting there to collect their toll money.

    Yes it is.

    Maryland's "Probation Before Judgement" system is something I really admire.

    Virginia DMV has a class (on line?) to get 'good' points towards your record. It also will show to the court that you take this seriously and may help you.
