Anyone planning to attend this years event?

This year also marks the inaugural automotive auction, hosted by The Finest.

    The Finest Automobile Auctions

(Also, a shameless plug for my miniature Japanese Fire Truck, which will cross the block at no reserve)

Also be sure to check out the hillclimb. Our vintage race club, VSCCA, sanctions the event. While I can't make it this year, I have raced the hill in the first couple of years. As a spectator, you're able to get to various sections of the course to view it from different angles. Automotive Traveler has some nice write-ups with pics.
Automotive Traveler Magazine: 2012 07 2012 Grand Ascent At Hershey Page 1

That's my car on page 1 and 4 (stats are actually 939cc and around 75hp!). We're part of the close-knit pre-war group shown in that online magazine.

    A fun event all around!

Possibly..., would be a nice day trip.

    I didn't know there's going to be a fire sale. ;)

The Elegance at Hershey is definitely a fine way to spend a day or two. The Hillclimb on Friday and Saturday provides some great vintage iron roaring up the hill.

And then there are the Pebble Beach quality cars on Sunday. Great automobiles in a Great Gatsby setting of the Hotel Hershey.

Wayne Carini has stormed up the hill in a competition Porsche powered special.

Ken - your pics that you posted also highlight the Charity ride. Spectators can contribute to the charities and get a ride up in the cars. Somewhere you have a pic of me taking a spectator around and he's holding on looking like he's going to roll out. Fun to give riders an excuse to hang on and yell! On the first year of this iteration, I loaned my MG to Dick Vermeil for the charity drive - he's definitely a bigger draw than me! You or someone else had a pic of him in the newspaper with the caption "Dick Vermeil drives his MG..."- I got several calls from people surprised I sold my MG!

There is a lot going on around the hillclimb and the Elegance that weekend. It's easy to spend Friday to Sunday and the pieces of the event just keep expanding!

    Awesome photos Ken.

Looks like there's a few Ferraris which will cross the block at Hershey as well as the star of the show, the mini Japanese fire truck. ;)

What did the fire truck sell for?

What did the Ferrari's sell for?

    Thanks.
