    Well that was violent. Hit us at 11:16. Knew it was coming. Watched radar on phone.

    Still surprising. Very loud.

    Roof weather station said 63mph. Official local reading was 59.

    Brief look out back shows boats fine. Will take closer look and check roof tomorrow.

    How'd everyone else do? Wind still up in high 20s/low 30s now but it sounds like nothing compared to the wallop we just got.

    Reagan national just reported 66 mph and one other report had 70.

    Nasty North of the city. My wife got called into work at 11:30pm last night when it was hitting us. She said driving was not fun and there were trees down everywhere.

    Mother Nature is so impressive. I was in awe over the wind gusts last night and in fear of my trees toppling over. The whole think was capped by a beautiful sunrise this morning.

    Donated my Evelyn 32...gave up sailboat racing after 30+ years.
    One of my crew owns a 41' sailboat at City Dock if I want t to go out.
    Surprisingly, I don't miss the hole in the water.

    It was super windy at my Apt in SE across from the nats stadium. The news said a tornado hit across the river in the anacostia.
