Any info out yet about the Reading Concours? Quick search didn't show anything.

I am sure Barry will be posting information soon. It will be at the Reading County Club, Sunday May 21st. We are in as a sponsor again this year.

Sunday May 21, according to the "Calendar" section of the FCA website. The PennJersey region's website looks like it needs updating. I didn't see any 2017 events at all. Everything is on the main FCA website.

    The registration is open!

Please note the early bird special (May 7, 2017) and FCA member discounts.

As always, this is not a public event. It is a private judged event for Ferrari Club of America members and and other Ferrari owners. I'm sorry, the country club is not set up for spectators.

Tickets are needed. The country club will have security to help maintain order this year. Last year got out of control and there was no parking for their customers.

    Thanks,
    Barry Cross

Any chance of the show becoming open to paying non-Ferrari-owner spectators in the future? I would certainly be willing to pay and mail in a card.
I have no doubt that the entrance fee will keep it exclusive enough. I'm thinking about the Radnor Concours at half the price doesn't bring enormous crowds. Then the fact that Reading is one marque only will further reduce the crowd to manageable levels.
It seems to me that it would be a good way to introduce people to the Ferrari community without having to buy a 348

You can always buy tickets to the luncheon. This is not a Radnor Hunt type of show for spectators, this is a much smaller private judged event for FCA members.

It may have been open to the public at one time or maybe just low key. I went when it was on the Alvernia College (now University) campus. It was at least 10 years ago perhaps longer. I was an FCA member at the time but no one asked for club ID. I went the following year when it moved to the country club and was politely but firmly turned away.

Removed the reference to the Simeone concours. It was held in 2015. Need more coffee. Sorry.

    Barry,

The poster says, "third annual" concours.

How can that be since I attended the 21st concours in 2005?

Why would you cycle back to one?

    Just mostly curious.

I assume it is a tribute to the passing of the much-loved Pietro Castiglioni.

This is the 3rd Penn-Jersey Concours since Pietro left us in 2014.

Then I'd call it the 3rd Annual, "Walk by my side and be my friend" concours.

We all have a soft spot in our hearts for Pietro, I think.

You do not need to be a FCA member to attend. All Ferrari owners are welcome along with their guests who are pre-registered. You could also register and attend even if you do not bring a car but the cost is the same.

    Mike.

Do you speak with the full authority of Barry and the FCA PA/NJ behind you?

I think this is an important change from prior years when the event was essentially invitation only.

Looks like it might be the case.

The form that Barry posted in post #5 of this thread does have different prices for FCA Members vs. Non-Members.

Although, those prices might still be "by invitation only".

Yes, I do speak for the Penn/Jersey Region and you can register to attend even if you are not showing a car. I have been involved with helping to arrange this show with other club members for many years back when Pietro ran the event and again now that the PJFCA is putting it on. The Reading Country Club is a great venue but the issue is the limited parking area that is available for spectators. If you are bringing a Ferrari parking is not an issue because you are registered and parking the car on the show field. The RCC Parking lot is small and limited. If you are registered, even if not bringing a Ferrari you will be able to attend.

Just to confirm, does that include not owning a Ferrari?

When the Penn-Jersey Region began to host the event the name changed from the Reading Concours to the Pennsylvania Concours at the Reading Country and this our third annual event.

Mike speaks with the authority of the club. Anyone can buy tickets in advance to attend the luncheon. As Michael stated because of the size of the parking lot we are unable to have spectators.

Yes you do not have to own a Ferrari to register and attend but the cost is the same as if you were bringing a Ferrari and staying for the luncheon.
