Great to see a regular member from Iran finally, I am Persian myself and I definitely miss the car scene back home!

I actually did visit that car museum and checked the older beauties out. Shame most of the cars are not well cared for. Still amazing to see the white Miura that was buried under dust for 20 years(?).

Keep the posts coming Ramin!

Koocheketam,

Thanks for the kind words and encouragement. We had a couple of other events and I will update accordingly. In the meanwhile here a couple of pictures from the museum which I thought you might enjoy. The Miura that you mention and a Ferrari Superfast.

Mokhless !

Salam Mike!

I posted a few pics from Cafe Racers and the BMW Classic Car Club of Iran on page 7 on the "BMW Owners on Ferrari Chat ?" topic in the General Automotive Discusion section. We have a quite a number of Bimmers in our events, mostly 02's and 3.0cs,. I will dig up some more pictures shortly.

Great pictures! If our countries concentrated on what we have in common this world would be a hell of a lot better place.

Hi,

Sorry about the tardiness in the posts. I was busy organizing the Tehran-Caspian Classic car rally which was from Tehran to the port of Anzali. The rally also served as the second year anniversary of the Cafe Racers. I will update accordingly.

In the meanwhile here is the last track day event we had for the year (Iranian New Year) in March. The two 3.0cs went head to head in a drag race, with the blue one wnning.

By the way Bimmerista, we had a silver 2002 Turbo from Shiraz compete in the rally. Hope to post pics soon. In the meanwhile, here are some pictures from the track day.

Regards,

Ramin

Hi,

Here is a drifting Fiat 124 Fiat Abarth being driven by local rally champion Vachik Haghverdian. He is the only guy I have seen do donuts in a VW bug.

Enjoy,

Ramin

PS. All pictures courtesy of Cafe Racers Keyvan Moradi and Kasra Kiani.

Hi,

You can get the whole story in the above link, so I will just go ahead and post interesting pictures. These were taken at 7am and taking care of last minute preparations before the 8am start. The Bimmer was the rally marshall car. Its an original Baur conversion. More will follow.

Regards,

Ramin

Hi,

Here is a pic from the starting line. The other one reflects the type of roads the rally was run on. The route was purposefully chosen in a way that everybody could get maximum enjoyment from their cars.

Ramin gorbanet can i get one of those tehran caspian racer stickers for my Ferrari?

Ramin Jon,
Great work and I always look for your pics of the events you guys run and hope to be able to be a part of it in the future. I was wondering if you have any extra sticker or decals from the Tehran Caspian Racers left over that I can buy from you to put on my car....
Please Pm me if you have one available.

Steve Jan,

I sent you a PM. It would be great if you could join us in future events. Of course it would be even cooler if you could bring your Ferrari along (hint).

Anyway, here are a couple of Bimmers on the way from Kelardasht to Ramsar. This road was one of my favourites.

Regards,

Ramin

Hi,

I should mention all pictures are courtesy of Tehran Cafe Racer Keyvan Moradi who was the official photographer for our rally, along with Ali Reza Kousheshfar and Kasra Kianipour who put together a DVD.

Here is a picture of a vintage Iran National Peykan (a locally assembled Hillman Hunter) sneaking up on some American Muscle. Please don't read anything into that !

Early locally assembled cars, especially Peykan's are garnering more and more interest in the collector community here.

Regards,

Ramin
