Hi fellow Mondial owners Anyone with an original trunk carpet here? I am talking about the removable, horizontal piece. My car's is a very flimsy, thin, gritty felt-like mat with a vinyl border (that shrank). It moves all about when the trunk is loaded and it's very different from the rest of the carpets in the car in terms of material and thickness. I wonder if it is original/worth saving, or some dubious replacement part... Could anyone shed some light on what should be in-there? Thanks for information! Urs
My trunk has matching carpet all around. Bottom is no different and doesn't move around as you say yours does. One piece with carpet against engine bay. 1987 3.2 Image Unavailable, Please Login
Thanks, so the 3.2 cars have different trunk carpeting. Below the QV trunk parts; I am looking for information on #34. It looks like proper carpet on the diagram. Maybe a 8/QV owner could chime in? Image Unavailable, Please Login

Thanks Allan - your carpet seems to be the same material as the rest of the trunk, actually quite thick and rigid. Is it the same thickness as the antenna motor cover? My carpet is a thin mat, like 4mm or so. I guess it was redone at one point.
Mine is about the same thickness, it is very firm and holds its shape very well, it is definitely moulded, I had to bend it slightly to get it out of the boot to take the photos, also the whole boot lining is the same material, bit of a cross between carpet and felt is the only description I can think of

During my search, this thread came up And I would like to ask does anyone have any pictures of the 1981 mondial 8 rear trunk carpets. I am missing a few pieces of carpet in the trunk, in particular the floor piece, and just want to make sure I get the right ones Many thanks in advance

Thanks for the pictures. Just what I'm looking for! My carpet is missing, but the floor of the trunk is flat all the way across. I will post a picture of it tomorrow. There has been a cd stacker installed at some point, so I think the floor may have been modified to fit this unit Best regards Chris
