I love Prugna !!! It's so bloody elegant !!! True it is, that in the 355 Registry, they call it "plum", though the proper translation is "prune". :):)

That 355 Spider wishes it were Prugna, but it isn't. I think it's Rosso Fiorano.

    Cheers, Hank

Probably my favorite color for a Mondi. I had one that was red, really red. I would probably consider buying another, especially a cabrio, if I found on in prugna. LOL

Hey Hank, Tee is not home to verify but I don't think the Italians have a word for Prune. They simply say dry plum (Prugna secca). Raisins are dry grapes.

So, it could translate to either Plum or Prune in English.

    Dave

Edit: Looking at English language color charts, it's prune as you say. Plum is more purple.

I think your right about the 355, its not Prugna but I do not think Ferrari was thinking dried up and shriveled Prunes but rather juicy delicious Plums ! LoL

Gentlemen - do notice the rich brown highlights in the "prune". Those same brown highlights reveal themselves in the "Prugna" paint code. :):) IMHO, "plum" shows well in the Rosso Rubino paint code.

If it didn't cost so damn much to change a color, and do it properly, Rachel would be wearing Prugna. Oh well :(

    Cheers, Hank

I still like red/tan, but................ if you are going to force me to drive Selma Hayek in the the prune colored car, I guess I suck it up for a bit, especially if she is wearing that dress.

Chris, what state do you live in? Can you legally change out the cats for a test pipe, don't you have smog laws there?

It comes across very elegantly on certain forms. It really stands out on the mondial that was one of the things that really drew me to my former prugna princess.

I live in Alberta Canada. I'm not 100% sure of the law/statutes regarding emissions equipment on older vehicles. There are no emission tests to pass and I've never heard of anyone being checked out or ordered to reinstall a Cat etc.

I'm getting to the point where - - - I want Rachel to wear a Prugna colored dress. But because it has to be her vin #93123 - with her amazing Valeo clutch system, I can't just look for "another" Prugna paint code Mondial.

This is a partnership. This is a relationship. It is a "marriage", if you will - "Till death, do us part". Rachel, honey - you want a face lift? Guess what, I too, could do with a pull of some skin - see here, this part, just below my eyes (beach - sun damage) bit so much fun!!! - - - if you want Prugna, Eugenio knows just where to achieve that.

A new colored dress for Rachel, won't be an issue for either of us - - because "it's all in the family".

Seriously, I am contemplating this action. :):):):)

    Cheers,

    Hank

Sounds like an intriguing plan Hank. Like they say, "It's cheaper to keep her". ;)

Prugna also looks pretty darn nice on some of the other cars, such as a 328GTB...especially with the light 'crema' interior color...ask me how I know :)

As noted above, red and black are not the only 'appropriate' colors for a Ferrari.

Dark color on Mondial fit them very well. Every time I look at Sera I'm in love with the color. I wish I could find a TR in that color. A prugna car in real must be the same. I've never seen one but I'm sure at night they are absolutely gorgeous.
Hank with your dark stripped Daytona seats it would be a perfect match. You'll be the only owner in the world of a Prugna valeo daytona T.
