Well, if we assume (I know what that does) that the LHD units + the unknown ones were all the US then that makes 24 Valeo's that came to the states.
That jives with the Ferrari Buyers Guide mention of Valeo models...
    The saga continues.

Yes mine is on the list. In the original Registry book it is shown as a 92 Red/tan...in the search it's been revised to 92 "Red then Nero/Tan". I believe the date/year shown in the Registry is the build date not necessarily the Model year since mine is documented as a 93 model. I found it a bit confusing.

Hi Greg - - and you're right about assumptions ! :):) LHD does not necessarily = USA delivery. I remember speaking with someone who was involved in Ferrari sales in the San Francisco area during the early 90s. He spoke of a total USA Valeo delivery number, being at seven (7). I realize that isn't necessarily the word of Ferrari. I'll call Scotland Yard and the CIA. Wouldn't it be great fun to solve this "simplistic" mystery? !!! My God, this isn't about "how many people were involved in the caper?" !!!! It's just about how many cars, of a given type, were produced by a factory in a given period of time and delivered to a specific market. There's got to be something better than "I believe".

Interestingly, over the nine years that I've had my Valeo t, Rachel (93123), I've not, at any time, seen more than 5 different vin numbered Valeo cars (in the US) for sale. George's (GDRIII) car is an example of a long held, loved and not for sale car. As such, she slips under the "for sale radar". His car is in his family, as is Rachel in mine - not on a car lot. How many more of these B-1 bomber Valeo cars are out there, ?????? Whatever, Valeo - is our new B-1 bomber ! My Rachel, living in So. Cal., stands "low slung", a proud member of the Valeo Registry.

    Happy Holidays,

    Hank

The original book shows it as a '93 red/tan but the supplement has it as a '92 red then Nero/tan with an "A" note meaning "record has received sustain additions".
Mine, 92409 did not show in original book but was listed in supplement as a "N" new listing.
All in the spirit of Italian book keeping probably performed by the electrical engineers on their off days ;-).
    Cheers,
    Greg

Hank, yes, wrong to assume that most of the LHD's came to the US as most of the world outside of UK, Ausi, HK, Singapore, India, Philippines, and Japan are LHD.
I remember reading that the US accounted for half of Ferrari's sold until recently when China got into cars. If we use that thinking then the number may be closer to the 7 you mention.
Let me know what M7 comes back with!
    Cheers,
    Greg

I am the current owner of serial# 95533, since Oct 2012. When I purchased the car, I wasn't looking for it, but rather, it found me. As time has progressed, I have learned a great deal about the rarity and the first hand pleasure of owning such a unique vehicle. My other car is an Alpina B7 with 500HP, so initially as a basis of comparison, there was none. I figured I would sell it and move on to something newer, with a clutch, that I might enjoy more. For this reason, it is currently listed for sale with an add set to expire in August.
Truth be told, this car has grown on me and now truly fascinates me. I don't think there is anything else quite like it, nor will there ever be. The nostalgia and sense of comradity for being part of such an elite brand of automobile is unparalled. Luckily, this car has been properly maintained prior to my ownership and fortunately it will continue to be under my ownership. So far I have done a minor service, battery, and a full detail which I found to be exciting. I look forward to having my first major performed this spring and will have documentation in the form of pictures, receipts, and personal notes with no expense spared.
