Well, as some of you already know I have been quietly looking for a red Mondial T coupe for the past 3 or 4 years, and I finally found one!! By far my favorite Mondial of all time, and of course it had to be the hardest one to find! One of 43 in the US. I've already owned one many years back and I regretted selling it so bad I've been looking for one ever since.
Part of me wants to give it the "Eberlein" treatment and part of me says "it's only original once". I really love its looks, angles, and stance. What a beautiful design. I would love to hear inputs from you guys as to whether it should remain all original.
Here are the pics from the dealer, I should have it in 2 weeks. It will need a little bit of cosmetic and mechanical work but I am so happy to have found one, finally! :)

    Very nice, and congratulations!

I tried looking for a black one in the past but it didn't work out for me. Very difficult as well since, supposedly, there are only 7 total.

BTW, "Eberlein" treatment (which includes OEM wheels) can easily be reverted back to stock at any point.

    Like they say, doowutchyalike. :)

Looks gorgeous. I'd keep it completely original but it's your car.

    She's beautiful, Stephane ............
If she were mine, I would only entertain a wheel change, limited to Speedline Mistral 17s. They were a Euro only, dealer option. So with them, you're still original. :):)

Cheers & drive her in the best of health .

I have considered a couple of mods. First, there is a supercharger that will add 50 hp, but I finally decided its more fun without the extra power. I have also asked my local mechanic about an electric steering rack.

This car has very heavy steering which does not lend itself to tossing the car around at 50 mph and less. Thats something I like to do but probably no longer should do it. So probably I will leave it as is.

I'd keep it as original. It is a beautiful car. You have one of only a few like this which came into the country.

Only one comment, and it may not be the car but the images I am looking at on this site, but the paint does not seem to shine that well.

Only other one I saw for sale was in Walnut Creek, CA and the guy wanted $52K for it, with less than 15K miles.

Have lots of fun driving it and take car of it.

Stephane you have to put your 348 wheels. Or the Speedline like Hank suggested.

    Fabulous car.

    Congrats!

Thanks a lot everyone. Claude, I am very tempted with the wheel change, I don't know. I have to drive it for a while and see. Who knows, maybe I'll keep it 100% stock and make it concours worthy, seems like the right thing to do being so rare and all. Right now I am just so thrilled with the find. Makes me forget about the Valeo ;)
